“Chat organization that works”
Pros
The way groups are organized works really well for me and managing conversations feels clear and practical.
Cons
The pricing is a downside and I don't like that conversations expire, after a few months they disappear unless you pay.

“Perfect for different kinds of team discussions”
Pros
Having dedicated channels for specific topics keeps conversations organized and the mix of public and private channels makes it work well for different kinds of team discussions. Custom emojis are a fun bonus, inviting teammates is simple and @mentioning people makes it simple to loop in the right person at the right time. It's been excellent for team collaboration overall and the video call feature is really useful too.
Cons
Free plan used to keep messages for months but now older messages disappear after 90 days. That's especially annoying when we need to keep group rules posted and end up having to share them again and again. Other than that, I don't really have any complaints.

The information I need is all in one place which makes staying organized much easier. It's also simple to use for task management so handling daily work feels more convenient.
Cons

“Our choice for communication”
Pros
It has been the best communication platform for our business. It keeps conversations organized and makes team communication feel much more efficient.
Cons
huddle feature doesn't seem well optimized for lower-spec computers or slower internet connections which can lead to frustrating audio lag and delays.

“Lively team chats and sharing”
Pros
It really makes our virtual office feel more active and connected. It's simple to navigate and the fun extras like stickers and videos add a lot of personality to conversations. I also use it to send different kinds of work files, including spreadsheets and data which is incredibly helpful. Overall, it makes team communication feel both more productive and a lot more enjoyable.

“Cutomizable to match our branding”
Pros
Being able to stay connected with my remote team in one place has been a huge plus. I can jump into spontaneous video calls when needed, connect the apps we already use and even customize our channel to match our company's branding which is a nice touch.
Cons
Number of notifications Slack throws in about apps, tags and similar updates gets frustrating. It can become confusing when too many show up, like alerts saying a Google Drive file may not be accessible to everyone in the channel. They only appear to me but they still clutter the feed until I manually dismiss them which gets annoying.

“Works well for transactional communication”
Pros
Communication feels smooth. Even though it's built as an instant messaging tool, it also works surprisingly well for transactional communication and in most cases it has effectively replaced email.
Cons
Search can be frustrating to use. Getting notifications and channel membership set up the right way takes some effort.

It works really well for collaborating with both internal teams and external guests. Having the option to create plenty of channels for specific topics or different teams is very useful and the ability to respond in individual threaded replies helps keep conversations organized.
Cons

“Easy to follow”
Pros
Makes it really convenient to work with both internal teams and people from other companies. The threaded conversations also help keep discussions organized so it's much easier to follow what's being said without everything getting mixed together.
Cons
Once the number of conversations starts piling up, it can be hard to track down the right thread if things aren't kept organized.

“Simple to set up and use”
Pros
This has been an excellent tool for collaboration. Getting everything set up and managing it is simple and being able to share with people outside the organization at no extra cost is a big plus.
Cons
It's still missing stronger AI capability. I'd really like to see more generative AI features added especially to make searching for documents and files much easier.

“Incredibly versatile”
Pros
It feels incredibly versatile, convenient and very user-friendly to use day to day.
Cons
With the basic plan, older chats get hidden after 30 days. I understand why they do it but it's still frustrating. It really feels like they could limit something else instead.

“Easy to add more companies”
Pros
Communication across teams and coworkers feels very smooth and even bringing in a second or third company is very simple. I also really enjoy how quickly I can start a video huddle with anyone in the organization. With a single click, we can jump into a video chat, share screens and connect instantly with someone anywhere in the world. It also works very well with integrations like Zapier, Google, Asana, Calendly and plenty of others.
Cons
I'm not completely sure whether this comes down to the system or user setup but as someone who uses Apple products for everything, the notifications can get overwhelming. When workflows and multiple channels are active, my phone, laptop and watch all start buzzing at the same time which can be overstimulating. I've already disabled notifications on my watch just to keep my sanity but I still wish there were better control so only selected channels could send alerts there.
