“Modern chat with handy huddles”
Pros
It has a really polished interface and the file sharing and emoji features feel more advanced than a lot of other chat tools. Huddles are also super convenient and make quick conversations much easier.
Cons
draft messages sometimes don't get saved after I start writing them.

“Plenty of plugins available”
Pros
Very simple to use and comes with plenty of plugins and integrations. Our developers really enjoy working with it and it makes it simple to set up channels or smaller ad hoc groups so everyone stays informed and can have quick discussions. The huddles feature is especially handy when a fast voice conversation is needed. We've connected it with Atlassian as well which helps keep everyone updated on tickets and status changes. It's also been really useful for communicating with external partners through shared channels.
Cons
The sheer number of channels and direct messages can feel a bit overwhelming. You can leave channels and delete messages but there are usually quite a few conversations you still want to follow which can make things feel cluttered.

“cluttered icons”
Pros
Using it to stay in touch with former employers and coworkers during training, I noticed how effective its communication tools are. A good example is the ability to create separate channels. Keeping conversations in different channels really helps with organization when you need to switch between topics or communicate with different people. Another useful feature is file sharing. It lets you send files to others and you can also choose to share them privately with someone. The platform also seemed to run reliably without glitches. Overall, it's a solid way to communicate and would be a good option for onboarding new hires.
Cons
There were a few minor frustrations when trying to locate some of my past conversations. I also felt that the large number of icons made navigating and scrolling through the program seem a bit cluttered and less organized.

“Top-tier user experience”
Pros
The user experience has been excellent and being able to connect with other companies through Slack Connect is a huge plus. Huddles are also a really useful feature and have worked very well for us.
Cons
Automation can be a little tricky to set up and managing User Groups along with default channels has also been a frustrating part of using it.

“Beginner-friendly software”
Pros
It is pretty beginner-friendly once you spend a little time with it. Being able to add photos, links, attachments and other content to messages and group conversations makes it really practical and having multiple accounts for work, school, different businesses and clients is a huge plus. The mobile app is also really useful because I can check and respond from my phone, tablet or laptop whenever I'm away from my desk. Another feature I really appreciate is the option to mute or pause notifications during certain hours until the next day. That makes it much easier to keep work and personal life separate since I'm not being interrupted after hours.
Cons
I honestly don't have any real complaints. It has handled everything I've needed it for without any problems.

“No guidance needed”
Pros
Getting new employees up and running with it is very simple. It's user-friendly to use so people can join and start communicating without much guidance.
Cons
The pricing model makes sense on a per-seat basis but the total cost can climb pretty fast as more users are added.

“Better for forums than chat”
Pros
Whenever someone new joins our channel, it sends me an email notification which helps me stay updated.
Cons
It comes across more like Reddit or another discussion forum than a real-time messaging tool so it is not very convenient for live chat.

“Integrations add a lot of value”
Pros
It has been really useful for keeping conversations organized especially with channels, private chats and direct messages. The integrations also add a lot of value and make it easier to keep different tools connected in one place.
Cons
Notifications didn't come through as expected which was frustrating. It also would have been better if some workflows didn't rely on third-party tools like Zapier.

“Makes team communication fast”
Pros
Slack makes team communication fast thanks to its instant messaging and the ability to create separate channels keeps conversations active organized and convenient. It also connects well with third-party apps which helps improve workflows and its strong search features make it simple to locate past messages and files whenever needed.
Cons
The free version is quite limited and usually not enough for larger teams. Connectivity can also be a downside especially since network issues can affect performance on this cloud-based tool.

“Appreciate the customization options”
Pros
I really enjoy how naturally it keeps me in touch with my team. Chats move along effortlessly, channels keep everything neatly organized and sharing files or connecting other tools feels very simple. It does a really good job of keeping everyone on the same page without making things feel chaotic or overwhelming. I'm also a big fan of the customization options. The GIFs and custom emojis add a fun, relaxed touch that keeps communication from feeling too stiff or overly formal.
Cons
To be honest, I don't have any major issues with it. It's a really strong tool for team communication and collaboration and it performs reliably. The only thing that makes a difference is how well the team sets things up and stays organized but overall, my experience with it has been extremely positive.
