“Easy to manage large groups”
Pros
Managing large groups and multiple teams in it feels very simple even when communication gets more complex.
Cons
At times, keeping track of public and private conversations with users can get a bit confusing and it's possible to lose your way in how those communications are organized.

“Connects team naturally”
Pros
It keeps the whole team connected naturally. Chats flow well, conversations stay neatly organized in channels and sharing files or linking other tools is really simple. It does a really good job of keeping everyone aligned without making communication feel cluttered or overwhelming.
Cons
I don't really have any major complaints about it. It's a reliable tool for team communication and collaboration and it works really well overall. If there's any downside, it mostly comes down to how your team chooses to organize and use it but my experience with it has been very positive.

“Powerful BIM tool”
Pros
Out of all the BIM tools I've worked with, this has been the most powerful by far. The newly added video conferencing feature has been especially useful because I can run online meetings directly in the platform without needing to connect any outside web apps.
Cons
I haven't run into any drawbacks since I started using it back in 2018.

“Lets me customize everything”
Pros
It does a really nice job of letting me customize things and keep information organized across different channels. That setup makes it much easier to separate conversations and topics instead of having everything mixed together.
Cons
At times though, the amount of information coming in can feel a little overwhelming especially when there's a lot happening at once.

“Suited for larger companies”
Pros
It works really well for software teams especially in larger companies where customization and access controls matter a lot. It offers plenty of useful features and gives you solid flexibility to manage how different teams and users interact.
Cons
Huddles are the one area that feels weaker especially when stacked up against Zoom. The interface and overall experience there just are not as polished.

Pros
It really improves team communication with real-time messaging, a user-friendly interface and smooth integrations with other tools which helps keep collaboration efficient and organized.
Cons

“Creating channels takes no time”
Pros
Creating channels takes very little time and being able to bring external contacts into those channels is really useful. It also connects with a lot of the tools I use every day which makes the platform fit well into my regular workflow.
Cons
Visibility of pinned information in a channel can be better. It should stand out more so it's easier to notice and access.

“Covers the basics of team communication”
Pros
It covers the basics of team communication really well, with handy message formatting, useful groups and channels that feel familiar if you've used MS Teams or similar tools. The interface looks more polished than Teams and both the desktop app and mobile version feel slick to work with. The AI feature also seems like it could be genuinely helpful even though I haven't used it myself yet. Overall, it does exactly what you want from a collaboration and productivity platform and it does it well.
Cons
The biggest limitation is how hard it is to fully fit it alongside Microsoft Office which most companies realistically depend on every day. Since Teams already handles a very similar role and sits much more naturally within that Microsoft ecosystem, Slack's independence ends up being more of a disadvantage here. In practical terms, it's difficult to justify choosing it over Teams.

“Keeps every type of conversation organized”
Pros
Does a fantastic job of keeping company-wide, department, team and one-on-one conversations neatly organized. It helps me stay on top of communication at all times and the custom emojis add a fun, personal touch that lets me express myself better.
Cons
There is very little to complain about with the platform. The only real thing that matters is making sure everyone follows good communication habits and proper IT hygiene so conversations stay clear and organized.

Pros

“Nice customization options”
Pros
Using it on both the app and in a web browser feels very user-friendly. The customization options are one of my favorite parts and being able to arrange channels on the screen makes everything feel much more organized.
Cons
It's an excellent program overall. The one feature I really miss is split screen, where you could keep two channels or chats open on the same page at the same time. I'd love to see that come back.

“Polls for fast decisions”
Pros
It covers a lot of communication needs in one place, with text channels, audio and video options all available. It's convenient to use emoji for quick approvals, run polls when fast decisions are needed and jump on video calls with screen sharing during discussions.
Cons
Too many notifications during the day. General messages, mentions and other alerts can pile up quickly which starts to feel overwhelming and makes it harder to stay focused and productive.
