“Simplifies everyday workflows”
Pros
Slack keeps team communication well organized through channels, fast messaging and integrations that help simplify everyday workflows.
Cons
Notifications can get overwhelming at times and in bigger, more active teams, message organization can start to feel cluttered.

“Emojis are a nice touch”
Pros
Something that really keeps me using it is the complete digital workplace feel it brings. Between chatting, huddles, integrations with nearly every productivity tool we rely on, plus the emojis and that message notification sound, it all comes together really well.
Cons
Honestly I don't have anything to complain about. It feels like the development team put a lot of effort into refining the platform and making the user experience as polished as possible.

“Teamwork made effortless”
Pros
It makes teamwork feel almost effortless, quick questions get answered quickly and it cuts down a lot on unnecessary meetings. I also really value how channels act like a shared team memory: decisions, context, links and updates are all there to look back on later which is incredibly helpful when handling multiple projects at once.
Cons
it can quietly create an "always-on" atmosphere since messages move so quickly, there's often pressure to reply right away even when you're trying to stay focused on deep work. Another frustration is that important details can get buried in threads and DMs, if they aren't documented somewhere else, they become difficult to find again later especially in busy channels where older context disappears under the volume.

“Friendly interface”
Pros
This tool has a really user-friendly interface and the overall usability is excellent. It feels much easier to move around in than other competing apps.
Cons
The notifications can feel a bit overwhelming although the settings do let you adjust them. Still, that's probably one area that could be improved.

“Appreciate the real-time messaging”
Pros
Its real-time messaging is the part I appreciate most, along with how well it supports team collaboration, connects with other tools and keeps conversations organized through channels.
Cons
notifications can become overwhelming and the interface starts to feel cluttered when there are too many channels.

“good value for money”
Pros
Chatting with coworkers and friends feels smooth and the interface is very user-friendly. It's simple to get around, offers solid value for the price and I haven't run into any bug-related issues. It works really well for team meetings and sharing files is always convenient.
Cons
High number of notifications get annoying. On top of that, the customer support team could be better since their responses tend to be delayed.

“Used to be simpler”
Pros
Using it feels pretty simple overall even if it was actually more user-friendly about a year ago. A lot of the recent updates haven't really made it more usable but file sharing is still really simple and finding files is much easier here than on other platforms.
Cons
More updates they roll out, the more clicks it seems to take to do basic tasks. Core features, like starting a huddle, aren't as accessible as they used to be.

“Extremely versatile platform”
Pros
Keeping conversations organized with channels has been really helpful and being able to send private messages to coworkers is a big plus. I also appreciate how versatile the platform is overall. The away and vacation statuses are useful too and I like having the option to mute notifications for certain channels when I need less distraction.
Cons
At times, the search feature doesn't perform as well as I'd expect and I wish replying in threads felt more user-friendly instead of accidentally responding to the entire channel.

“Makes for smooth coordination”
Pros
It makes group coordination and communication feel really smooth. It's especially helpful being able to split conversations by team and keep separate projects organized with the right members involved.
Cons
Every now and then, files I try to send won't upload because of their size. It's not a huge issue but it would be nicer if that part worked more smoothly.

“dependable messaging platform”
Pros
Having used it for years, it has remained a dependable messaging platform the whole time. The way it connects with automations has been really valuable for our team. It's simple to work with, works well for file sharing and also makes ad-hoc meetings simple to set up.
Cons
There's honestly very little for me to complain about. It does exactly what I need it to do without any issues.

“Most userfriendly tool I've used”
Pros
Out of all the messaging tools I've used, this has been the most user-friendly by far. It helped make our team meetings more productive because communicating there was faster than getting everyone together face to face. My coworkers were all really happy using it as well.
Cons
I can't think of anything negative about it. Everyone learned how to use the messaging system quickly without any trouble.

“Improved how we communicated”
Pros
It felt like good value for the money because it noticeably improved how our team communicated and got work done. The chat function was simple to use so real-time conversations stayed simple and organized instead of turning messy. Sharing files was fast and convenient too which made it much easier to access documents directly inside conversations. Meetings were dependable especially with the integrations that helped with scheduling and joining calls without extra hassle. Whenever we needed help, customer support was responsive and actually useful. Bugs and technical issues hardly came up and the platform generally felt stable while continuing to improve over time. Overall, it made collaboration quicker, more efficient and much better for keeping teams connected and productive.
Cons
Once a workspace gets busy, it can start to feel a bit overwhelming because there are just so many channels and conversations to keep up with. The free plan is also limiting since message history is restricted which makes going back to older chats difficult. Its video and voice calling work but they are not quite as strong as tools built specifically for meetings. Some of the more advanced features and integrations are locked behind paid plans as well. Notifications can also become hard to manage in active workspaces and during heavier use, the app may take up more system resources than expected.

“Essential for remote teams”
Pros
With a mix of hybrid and fully remote staff, staying connected online is essential for us and it has become the tool that keeps our team communicating without hassle. It really works as our go-to solution for day-to-day collaboration.
Cons
Huddles can be unreliable at times. There are moments when one person can hear the other but the audio doesn't work both ways so the call ends up needing a restart.

“Impressive speed”
Pros
Communication is really quick and that speed makes a big difference. It's simple to share updates, information and instructions which helps tasks move forward efficiently.
Cons
Notification system bothers me. It can be confusing and doesn't always work efficiently and even after I've checked a notification, Slack sometimes still shows it as unread which gets annoying.

“Ideal for small teams”
Pros
For a free app, this feels like a really strong value especially for smaller teams at work. When you're collaborating with a small group and trying to get things done, it's very simple to use.
Cons
A few features haven't worked properly on my side especially huddles. I'd also still choose other apps when it comes to voice calling.

“Complete solution”
Pros
It has been the real deal for me. I've used it for a long time in all kinds of situations. The first time I used it was with my college baseball team, where we had channels for everything, practice, travel, weights, game schedules, basically anything we needed. At work, we rely on it for just about everything too and I even connected it with our Salesforce setup so we could discuss business and open channels directly from sales leads.
Cons
An issue that came up pretty often was with notifications especially on my iPhone. Push notifications were inconsistent sometimes they showed up sometimes they didn't. I tried all sorts of fixes to get them working reliably but I never completely solved it.

“Comes with amazing features”
Pros
This tool comes with several really nice features. The reminders, calendar integration and the emoji and GIF options are all excellent. I also appreciate the pin feature and it's very helpful that documents can be shared within chats.
Cons
Chats disappear after a certain period of time which is frustrating. When you need to go back and find something from an earlier conversation, it may no longer be there.

“Perfect the way it is”
Pros
Keeps conversations flowing and makes it simple to stay connected with everyone. There really isn't much we'd want to change and it feels like a very good value for what it offers.
Cons
There's honestly not much to complain about since it works really well. If I had to point to something, I'd say it could use more customization options because the current ones aren't that strong.

“Better than the competitors”
Pros
After nearly four years of using it, I can say it's been better than the other team collaboration tools I used before. The interface feels more user-friendly, it's simple to work with and its integration with our internal tools is especially useful for keeping me updated when something changes. For instance, when I create a JIRA ticket and there's an update, I get notified there too which helps a lot.
Cons
The newer app updates that changed the interface haven't really worked for me. I thought the older design looked cleaner and was better overall. Aside from that, it still functions the same way and gets the job done.
