“I'd recommend Slack”
Pros
It has become the tool I rely on most every day. It keeps me much more connected with the people I work with and after using Teams as well, I'd recommend Slack without hesitation. It feels far more user-friendly and the integrations are better too.
Cons
I can't think of anything I'd want to change.

“Hassle-free access”
Pros
Compared with other internal chat tools, this one feels like the best option when I need to communicate with people outside the company on a project-by-project basis. Being able to access it without any hassle from any device, whether on a PC or mobile, is also something I really appreciate.
Cons
Something that throws me off is the way the thread view can shift around which sometimes makes me read the wrong part or miss messages by accident. That said, it may come down to how I use it and once I got familiar with the layout, it stopped being much of an issue.

“Works for us”
Pros
It simply works for us. Team chat sits at the center of how we communicate and the huddles are really handy when we need a quick audio call.
Cons
As the team grows and more channels get added, messages can disappear into threads pretty easily. It would also be much better if there were a free option available for communities.

“High level of personalization”
Pros
Getting started with it is quick and it does a nice job of keeping conversations organized. The instant messaging and video calling work well and the level of personalization is a big plus too.
Cons
Its too expensive. Losing access to chat history unless you pay makes it hard to justify for fast-growing startups and communities especially when keeping an eye on cash burn is such a real concern.

“Lets me see who's available”
Pros
Using it with university research groups has been really simple and the live chat makes communication much quicker. It's also helpful that you can immediately see who's available and who isn't which saves time. Compared with sending emails back and forth, this is a much faster way to stay in touch.
Cons
Some features are locked behind a paid plan which can be limiting. The free version also only keeps chat history for a set period of time so older conversations eventually disappear.

“inviting teammates takes no time”
Pros
Setting up projects and channels is simple and inviting teammates takes no time. It supports real-time communication really well, whether that's one-on-one chats, group conversations or ongoing topic-based discussions inside each channel. Another thing that works nicely is being able to create separate channels for each task within the same project which makes it possible to manage work in different ways depending on the situation. On top of that, the platform runs very lightly so the overall experience feels fast and pleasant.
Cons
Since I'm only using the functions I actually need, I haven't run into any downsides at this point.

“Detailed profile management”
Pros
It has been really helpful for managing workflows and keeping team communication organized. The interface is clean and user-friendly, detailed profile management is a nice touch and sharing files with teammates works very well.
Cons
It can sometimes run out of memory and when that happens, notifications stop coming through. The search feature also isn't always reliable when trying to find a specific message from earlier conversations.

“Versatile team communication powerhouse”
Pros
I appreciate how versatile it is for team communication and collaboration. Having separate channels for different projects or topics, along with direct messages and threaded replies, helps keep conversations organized and makes information much faster to find. The integrations with a large variety of third-party tools and services also boost productivity by bringing updates and notifications into one place so there's less need to jump between apps. On top of that, file sharing, voice and video calls and searchable archives help teams stay productive and connected, whether everyone is in the same office or working across different locations. Overall, its user-friendly design and strong feature set make it a really valuable platform for improving teamwork and productivity in a modern workplace.
Cons

“Provides a friendly, playful atmosphere.”
Pros
After using it for a long time, it still feels like the most simple tool I've worked with. It's convenient, flexible and can be customized to fit the way each person prefers to work. It also connects with a lot of other software and tools which makes it much easier to use as a central place for managing information. I also really enjoy its friendly, playful atmosphere.
Cons
it can sometimes be overused. There are moments when too much information gets shared and some of it ends up getting lost along the way especially when documents are being shared.
