“Integral to internal communications.”
Pros
The seamless integration of Slack with various third-party software used at my workplace is its standout feature for me. Expanding its capabilities through integration has minimized the need to switch between different apps, thus saving time and optimizing day-to-day operations.
Cons
Using Slack poses the risk of information overload, especially in companies like mine with a large workforce, leading to numerous team channels. There have been instances where important messages got lost among the flood of notifications.

“Life saver for remote teams”
Pros
In my opinion, Slack is the quintessential tool for enabling and enhancing remote work productivity. When set up efficiently, its combination of channels and direct messages replicates a physical workspace, fostering efficient and effective communication, with the added benefits of conversation recording, searchability, and categorization. I am genuinely enthusiastic about Slack!
Cons
I do not have many criticisms for Slack; I am really satisfied with how it functions. While I have heard colleagues mention that the notifications can be distracting, I have managed to devise a system that enhances my productivity rather than hampers it. However, it can be challenging collaborating with people who are not familiar with Slack.

“The Fastest Way to Communicate with Your Team”
Pros
With team members scattered across different time zones, reaching them via email is not always feasible. Slack comes to the rescue, offering a swift way to connect with remote colleagues without cluttering up my inbox, ensuring prompt responses to queries.
Cons
I really wish there was a quicker way for me to mute or unmute notifications temporarily. Often, when I jump into a virtual meeting, I end up having to shut down the entire Slack app just to ensure that notifications won't interrupt the meeting.

“Strong system overall”
Pros
There's a reason so many tech companies rely on it. The messaging is simple, permissions can be set up in a lot of different ways, notifications are solid and there's plenty of room to customize the workspace and keep everything organized. Overall, it's a really strong system.
Cons
Anything tied to macros gets a little awkward. They do make the experience better once you use them but since it mostly comes down to typing commands into the void, they're not always easy to remember or keep track of.

“Customization options boost productivity”
Pros
it connects well with different communication tools, along with an user-friendly interface that makes sharing files, staying connected with coworkers and collaborating in real time feel very natural. The wide range of app integrations and customization options also helps boost productivity and keeps workflows more organized.
Cons
It can sometimes create information overload especially when there are too many channels and constant notifications which can hurt focus and become distracting. It can also get harder to manage larger teams or more complex projects if communication channels are not planned and organized properly.

“Necessary for keeping me productive”
Pros
Nearly a decade of daily use in and it still plays a big part in keeping me productive. It's made staying connected with coworkers much more effective than other productivity tools I've tried, to the point that they don't really compare.
Cons
After some of the recent updates, tracking down certain features has become harder than it used to be. That occasionally slows me down and makes the experience a bit frustrating.

“Helped us move away from email”
Pros
It has really helped us move away from relying on email inside the organization. Being able to create channels that are only open to certain team members makes it much easier to organize discussions by project. At the same time, starting quick cross-team conversations with different people across the company keeps things flexible when we need to form smaller discussion groups on the fly. The "Save for later" feature is also very useful because it helps me keep track of ongoing points without losing them in the constant flow of messages.
Cons
The way conversations are ordered in the left sidebar can make them hard to find again once you switch to another discussion.
