“One of the best software for team communication and collaboration”
Pros
With instant messaging and channels for team-wide communication, Slack has become even more indispensable. The screen-sharing feature and integration with various apps further elevate its usefulness.
Cons
new updates bring UI changes that are not user-friendly. Unlike competitors like MS Teams or Zoom, there is no screen recording option. For logging or managing app preferences, it redirects to a web page.

“Communication Tool”
Pros
The best aspect for me is the seamless communication across multiple locations and the ease of managing multiple channels and meetings. The separate workspaces for various tasks enhance its versatility for employees.
Cons
One common critique of Slack includes the potential for information overload. In large teams or active channels, the constant stream of messages can be overwhelming, and some users struggle to effectively manage or filter the notifications also, for some users, the cost associated with premium features may be a drawback.

“The best communication you can get!”
Pros
If you have to manage a team of diverse, international members, Slack is the best method you can use. I love how simple it is to create new workspaces with so much detail and control. I can have as few or as many members as I want, and everything will go very smoothly. Once the workspaces are up and running, we can immediately have a better connection with everyone we work with. And all the data is synced up and available to everyone, which is great. This is especially useful to communicate with team members in different countries.
Cons
Slack is amazing at video calls and sharing data through screen sharing, but it consumes a lot of data while doing so. It is especially concerning when a team member is on a site visit abroad and using a roaming connection, which limits the data resources. I would appreciate it if there was an option to reduce the data usage. And then there are the controls that are always in the way of what youre doing, whether it’s a video call or just navigating around the software. It would be very helpful if they could be minimized into a floating button or at least be able to move out of the way until needed.

“Works across all kinds of devices”
Pros
The setup and day-to-day use are very simple which makes getting started quick. It works across all kinds of devices and it's just as useful for collaboration inside the company as it is for working with people outside the organization.
Cons
It's not a low-cost solution. There's also a real risk of important know-how getting buried in the tool so clear usage rules need to be defined from the start.

“Solid alternative to email”
Pros
Simple to set up and it feels just as user-friendly on a computer as it does on a smartphone through the app. It's excellent for instant communication, whether it's one-on-one chats or group discussions. it's a really strong alternative to relying on email for everyday communication.
Cons
I haven't really come across any negative points with this software. It feels well optimized, polished and without any noticeable flaws.

Pros
I appreciate how Slack streamlines team communication, offering a simple and organized platform that keeps everyone connected, fostering smooth collaboration.
Cons
I struggle to find much to dislike about Slack. If I had to nitpick, sometimes the notifications can be overwhelming, but it is a small trade-off for staying informed. Overall, it is an excellent platform for team communication.

“Chat feels fluid”
Pros
The chat feels very fluid and being able to create discussion groups makes teamwork much more practical. I also really appreciate the option to add custom emojis, plus all the different plug-ins like Jira and GitLab that make the tool highly connected and very customizable.
Cons
The interface isn't always user-friendly though. Finding the calling feature (huddle) can sometimes be confusing and keeping track of new messages in active threads or messages where I've been tagged can end up feeling pretty tedious.

“much better than teams”
Pros
Whether in the office or working remotely, Slack proves to be a reliable tool for informal check-ins and seamless group creation, even involving external parties.
Cons
Social dynamics work much better within an organization than in open groups I am a part of. While Slack excels in its function, I sometimes worry about its always-on nature detracting from deep work.

“Clear and customizable interface”
Pros
Being able to chat with the team instantly across multiple channels makes collaboration much more efficient. The interface is clear, practical and customizable which makes it pleasant to use every day. The API is also a real advantage since it can receive notifications from other systems. On top of that, audio and video calls are built right in and the screen-sharing feature is especially valuable when working remotely.
Cons
A paid subscription becomes necessary once you start dealing with a large volume of messages. The platform is also not decentralized and when outages happen, it can be quite critical.

Pros
Having several workspaces synced in one place has really helped me stay more productive. A big plus is how well it can be automated with lots of external tools which makes day-to-day work much more efficient.

“Has a natural feel to it”
Pros
Working in it feels very natural thanks to the simple interface. It makes collaborating with customers and coworkers much more simple. I also really appreciate being able to chat across different channels and the way apps and files can be integrated smoothly into the platform is a big plus.
Cons
The amount of information can be overwhelming which makes it quite easy to miss messages. Another downside is the pricing since some features are only available in paid plans which can be limiting for smaller teams or businesses.
