“Centralized teamwork that boosts productivity”
Pros
I really appreciate how user-friendly it is to use. It brings all my communication into one place and has helped cut down the number of emails I get. I also enjoy how customizable it is, along with the option to connect third-party apps which makes teamwork and overall productivity even better.
Cons
The downsides in my view are mostly related to pricing since it can get expensive as a company grows. On top of that, in the free version, it can be difficult to find older messages in past conversations.

“All-in-one team communication”
Pros
Having chat, calls, video meetings and everything else in one place is really convenient since there's no need to rely on any other software.
Cons
The mobile app syncing wasn't very good. If I read something on my computer, it wouldn't show as read on my phone so I still had to open those conversations on my phone just to clear them.

“convenient rollout”
Pros
Easy to set it up and rolling it out across a team doesn't take much effort. Most people who work digitally already know how it works which makes adoption pretty quick. Its popularity also helps a lot since there's a large user community and it connects with almost every digital tool out there. One thing I really appreciate is being able to stay logged into multiple organisations at once under a single account which isn't nearly as simple in Microsoft Teams. Extras like Giphy make conversations more fun and Slack Connect is also useful for bringing two organisations together when working on shared projects.
Cons
Once a lot of channels, messages and discussions start piling up, it can feel a bit overwhelming especially when you're active across several organisations at the same time.

“Smooth switch between mobile and desktop”
Pros
Getting around it is pretty simple once your workspaces are set up and communicating with different groups becomes really convenient after that. One thing I especially appreciate is being able to switch between the mobile app and the desktop app without missing a beat, as long as both are configured ahead of time.
Cons
At times I need access to a fairly large private channel but I may not know who owns it or even the exact channel name which makes getting permission frustrating. Managing multiple workspaces across different companies or personal groups also requires a bit of effort and it's not very simple to carry the same setup over to other computers or platforms when I want my phone, home desktop and work desktop to all match.

“great once you get the hang of it”
Pros
At first glance, it can feel a bit overwhelming because there are so many sections to explore, like private channels, hashtags, chats and all the apps you can connect to it. After using it for a little while though, everything starts to make sense and it becomes extremely useful. If I had to compare it to something, I'd call it a large wardrobe filled with neatly organized drawers. It lets you do much more than just message people one-on-one or in groups. You can also make calls, share files and even take remote control of a coworker's device when needed.
Cons
There are times when the calling and video features do not work properly.

Pros
Using it feels very simple and that's probably the part I appreciate most. The video conferencing also made it much simpler to connect with my international team whenever they needed to quickly show me something.

“lets me save notes”
Pros
Keeping in touch with other departments is really convenient whenever there are questions or updates to share. I also appreciate being able to jot down notes and save them in my own message tab for later.
Cons
I didn't run into any features that felt difficult to use and the platform was simple to navigate overall.

“Useful integrations across platforms”
Pros
Connecting this tool with other services is really useful especially with Dropbox, shared drives and several other platforms. That kind of integration makes it much more practical for everyday use.
Cons
It would be better if the tool offered more customization options and was priced lower. Aside from that, it's still a really good product to work with.

“approachable and packed with features”
Pros
it's biggest advantage is how approachable it is right from the start. Anyone can jump in and begin using it without much effort, while it still includes plenty of advanced features for people who want to do more with it.
Cons
A more powerful reminder system or built-in task management tools for handling team assignments and follow-ups.

“Dynamic and great for project management”
Pros
Staying connected with employees is absolutely essential and this platform makes that much more practical. It lets you organize conversations and file sharing into separate groups based on each team or area of interest which keeps everything clearer. Another big advantage is the ability to connect many different apps making it more dynamic and much more useful for managing projects.
Cons
To get the most out of it, you really need to add other applications to the platform. That can make the overall cost per user rise quite a bit.

Pros
It is simple to understand and it comes with plenty of monitoring features along with several ways to stay in touch with the team. The real-time alerts are especially useful because they let you keep track of progress as it happens.

“standard tool for instant messaging”
Pros
Getting started with it doesn't take much time and it has become the standard tool for instant messaging and team communication. Team members can join specific channels to talk and collaborate with the right groups. One thing that works really well is being able to choose exactly which notifications to get and which ones to mute. It's also helpful that mobile settings can be adjusted separately for times when we're away from the office. Another nice touch is being able to reply with emojis which helps reduce extra messages and notification clutter.
Cons
Without the right setup, the number of message pop-ups can become overwhelming. The calendar sync also isn't reliable all the time.

“Excellent UX/UI”
Pros
It works really well for handling both internal and external communication through different groups and direct messages. Messages are simple to search and locate, Huddles are very useful for quickly calling someone directly, the UX/UI is excellent and file sharing is one of its strongest features.
Cons
Video calling could definitely be better, screen sharing is not its strongest point and it does get buggy from time to time.

“Fantastic user experience”
Pros
Right away, the interface and overall user experience stood out to me. Slack feels very polished, user-friendly to navigate and enjoyable to use. The extensions and add-ons are also a nice touch and they work really well for all kinds of teams.
Cons
An annoying issue happens with huddle invites when I'm not using the desktop app. Clicking the notification lets me into the call but the app itself opens much later and it tends to lag in the process. Other than that, I genuinely enjoy the huddle feature but I still don't understand why it takes three clicks to start one or why the introductory huddle message keeps showing up.

“Top-notch team communication”
Pros
With everyone constantly on the move and not always able to get to a laptop or desktop, the mobile app is honestly the best part of this software for staying connected with team members.
Cons
There's really nothing to complain about. The quality it delivers is excellent and truly top notch when it comes to communicating with both clients and subordinates.

“Ahead of competitors”
Pros
The app felt polished and thoughtfully built. The interface looks clean and it offers plenty of features for instant messaging. It reminds me of Skype for Business but overall it feels like a much better version of that.
Cons

“Don’t look other than Slack for workplace communications!”
Pros
If it’s a powerful, easy, and fun workplace communications/collaborations tool you’re looking for, don’t commit to any other cloud service than Slack. This platform is the tops, people - hands down!
Cons
Sometimes, it’s difficult to access the account when multiple teams send audio or video on the same network - needs a permanent workaround.

“Ideal tool for team communication”
Pros
It is an ideal tool for helping teams communicate and work together in groups. One of its biggest strengths is the user-friendly interface and how simple it is to use which makes it quick and convenient for people to stay connected with their teammates. I also really appreciate its integrations with other tools: it connects with a wide range of apps like Google Drive, Trello and Asana which helps improve collaboration and overall productivity.
Cons
After using Slack for long periods, the app sometimes freezes and needs to be restarted. I also think it would be better if it included a built-in calendar instead of relying on separate applications.
