“Helpful in a corporate setup”
Pros
Working with it has been really helpful in a corporate setup especially when staying connected and collaborating with teammates. It brings together most of the features needed in one place which saves time and avoids having to rely on multiple tools from different vendors for different tasks.
Cons
Breakout session feature is missing. Adding something like that would make it much better for users who want to set up virtual meetings with smaller groups of peers.

“Constant part of our operations”
Pros
For more than two years, it has been a constant part of how our team works together. It's been simple to navigate from the beginning and communicating with the team through it has stayed effective the entire time.
Cons
I don't have any complaints. Everything has worked well for me since I began using it.

“Feels like a lifesaver”
Pros
Working with this software honestly felt like a lifesaver. Even though our team was fully remote, it gave the feeling that we were all sitting in the same room together. The rooms were especially useful for splitting conversations by topic and keeping everything organized.
Cons
The only issue on my end was with status updates but that really came down to me forgetting to use them rather than any fault in the software itself. Aside from that, I really do not have any complaints.

“No tutorial needed”
Pros
Joining LightMedia in 2019, I was able to start using it right away without needing any kind of tutorial. It was quick to pick up and made it simple to separate teams into different units for multiple projects. I also used it at Halstead Media Group and one thing I appreciated was not running into file size limits when sharing files.
Cons
At first the interface took a little time to get familiar with, not because it was hard to use but because it felt different from other apps I had worked with before. One downside with the free version is that uploaded files disappear after 90 days.

“Fast, modern team messaging”
Pros
Getting started with it was simple and the interface feels modern and pleasant to use. It runs quickly without using many system resources which makes it practical to keep open all day. Another big plus is the free integrations like Pipedrive, that add a lot of value.
Cons
There are a few small issues with mobile notifications but nothing major.

“Dependable for data sharing”
Pros
it has been a dependable tool for staying in touch with coworkers internally. Sharing information making a quick call with colleagues and setting up group chats or channels all work without any trouble.
Cons
Once communication gets heavy in larger organizations, it can start to feel a bit cluttered. At that point, you often have to dig up information through the search function which can sometimes take extra effort.

“Rich ecosystem”
Pros
Slack has an incredibly rich app ecosystem. From enterprise tools on just about any platform to collaboration apps, whatever you need is usually already there.
Cons
pricing setup feels a bit unpredictable especially since it's hard to tell when you're going to hit the message limit and that usually happens sooner than expected.

“Highly effective tool for communication”
Pros
The way it lets you create channels, send messages, get real-time notifications and connect with other platforms makes it a highly effective tool for communication within a work team.
Cons
Thread reply notifications can be better. When someone responds in a thread within your conversation, it doesn't alert you with a sound the way it does when they reply directly.

“Range of pricing options”
Pros
One of the best parts is the range of pricing options especially the fact that the first plan is completely free. That makes it a really practical choice for teams that are just getting started, whether it's a startup, a nonprofit or a small business. It lets you share files, chat in real time, get instant notifications and talk with several people at once. There are also a few light project management features that can be useful for day-to-day team coordination.
Cons
The platform is clearly designed mainly for real-time communication. It feels more like an upgraded messaging app than a full collaboration suite. Because of that, the file sharing, collaboration tools and project management features are somewhat limited and still leave room for improvement.

“easy way to reach people quickly”
Pros
Working remotely in healthcare, having Slack on my phone has been incredibly useful because it keeps me connected to work at all times in case something urgent comes up and my help is needed. It makes it simple to reach the right people quickly. I also appreciate that it is not limited to one type of phone so as long as a device supports live chat, the app can be installed. That makes communication much more practical for teams working across different locations around the world. Another feature I really value is how it syncs with my work calendar so statuses update across the board, for example, an out-of-office email can automatically reflect as an out-of-office status in Slack. On top of that, the Zoom integration is very convenient. With a quick slash command, I can invite a colleague to a meeting without having to go through email which saves a lot of time.
Cons
it can be difficult to manage and revisit older group conversations over specific time frames. When messages pile up, it can become overwhelming and trying to locate something from two weeks ago while using Slack constantly can mean digging through thousands of messages. On top of that, if you are not on a paid plan, you cannot even access messages older than three months which makes finding past information even more frustrating.

“Connects with more than 2,400 apps”
Pros
It gives teams a flexible way to work with coworkers, apps and external partners all in one place. It brings people, tools and information together so groups can stay productive and ready to jump on new opportunities. Collaboration through channels works really well since they create dedicated spaces for specific projects and initiatives, keeping the right people and the right context in one spot. Huddles make it simple to start quick audio conversations and there's also the option to switch to video or share your screen with just one click. It also connects with more than 2,400 apps which makes it useful for everything from project management to daily routines. On top of that, users can turn recurring meetings and tasks like standups, approvals and requests into automated workflows.
Cons
there's nothing I dislike about it at all.

“performs well overall”
Pros
Feels simple, effective and reliable to use every day. It performs well overall and having a solid conversation history makes it really useful for finding past exchanges and keeping track of discussions.
Cons
The search filter is not very user-friendly to use so it can take a bit of time to figure out. Video quality during transfers is also not perfect and could be improved.

Using this software makes our daily work much more practical. We can receive messages and notifications, make video calls, share files and even share our screen with coworkers. Overall, it includes everything needed to keep teamwork moving efficiently. I'd recommend it for improving both internal communication and external company work.
