“Convenient on phone and pC”
Pros
Using it on both my phone and PC has been really convenient. It's simple to access, makes communication with the team quick and helps a lot with keeping projects organized and on track. I'd definitely recommend it.
Cons
Up to this point I haven't run into any major issues while using it.

“Clear messaging layout”
Pros
The messaging layout is clear and it's simple to keep conversations going even when I'm connected only through mobile data.
Cons
I'd still like to see more stickers and emoji options in messages, plus a private or secret messaging feature.

“We're satisfied with it”
Pros
Getting this software up and running across my devices and my employees' devices has been very simple and it has made training and team communication much better. My company has been using Slack for quite some time now and it has been a big benefit for us overall.
Cons
At first it does take a little time to get familiar with the features and the initial setup but that is pretty normal with most software. Other than that early learning curve, I really do not have many downsides to mention.

“Free plan covers most needs”
Pros
Even just using the free version our team is able to get a lot done and it already covers more than enough for most day-to-day needs.
Cons
The mobile app could feel a little more user-friendly, more like a social messaging platform. If it worked that way, I'd probably use it more often on my phone and other mobile devices.

“helps keep team communication active”
Pros
It really helps keep team communication active and gives everyone a shared space that makes work feel more connected and productive. It's also useful having one place where important information can be stored and pinned which cuts down on repeated questions.
Cons
There honestly aren't many downsides for me. If anything, the video huddle feature could use a bit of improvement but aside from that I don't have any real complaints.

“Reliable chat notifications”
Pros
Thread feature in chat is incredibly useful. Tagging and replying to messages also looks clean and works well. The mobile app performs really nicely and chat notifications are very reliable. The GitHub integration is another very helpful feature especially for team leads managing team activity.
Cons
Everything has been good for me so far and I haven't come across anything that needs improvement.

“provides control over notifications”
Pros
Control over notifications and when they come through works well. It lets me keep Slack on both my phone and MacBook without it becoming annoyingly disruptive during personal time. The custom plugins and third-party integrations are also very useful. Features like Giphy, Google Calendar, story pointing and even custom bots for monitoring dashboards all work reliably and add a lot of value.
Cons
The biggest weak spot is the search. It's nowhere near as good as it should be. It doesn't seem to support fuzzy search so unless you know the exact word or phrase you're trying to find, there's a good chance you won't be able to track it down.

“Complete digital workspace”
Pros
It gives you a complete digital workspace that feels built for how companies work today. I honestly can't imagine how teams managed back in the pre-IT era without something like this. It's very simple to use and brings together instant messaging, video calls, voice calls, screen sharing, file sharing and integrations in one place which really makes it a leader in professional digital workspaces for remote work.
Cons
there's really nothing I dislike about it.

“Feels like industry standard”
Pros
Instant messaging, file sharing and video calls are essential for how our remote-first team works and it handles all of that really well. Plenty of other tools offer similar features but this one still feels like the industry standard. The way it connects with our other software tools is really what makes it stand out from the rest.
Cons
it can feel like too much information is coming in at once especially with lots of teammates, group chats and constant notifications. That said, it's manageable if you mute certain alerts or stay more selective about which channels you join.

“immediate access to past conversations”
Pros
Joining an existing Slack group gives you immediate access to past conversations which makes it much easier to follow the planning process and see what questions have already been covered. Older messages are simple to pull up so nothing important gets lost. File sharing is also very convenient within conversations, you can quickly send documents, files and photos from your desktop or cloud storage, comment directly on a document and get feedback right away.
Cons
Pricing is one of the weaker points. The three main plans don't feel especially competitive and while there is a free version, it's really only suitable for small teams because the features are quite limited. It's definitely a strong business messaging platform but it's worth knowing that getting the full value from it comes at a price.

“Lightweight and polished interface”
Pros
I appreciate how little storage it takes up. Even with plenty of features, it runs reliably and handles tasks without getting stuck. The interface also looks clean and appealing, whether on desktop or mobile and it's simple to understand and navigate.
Cons
Slack does struggle when the internet connection is slow and performance drops noticeably in that situation. At times, the screen turns black or grey and no options show up which can be frustrating. The huddle feature also doesn't work properly on a weak connection.

“Welcoming interface”
Pros
Right away, the interface feels welcoming and user-friendly and being able to customize the theme makes it even more enjoyable to use. Having a mobile app is also a big plus since it lets you keep up with messages wherever you are. The emojis are adorable and the notification alerts do a really good job of getting your attention without being annoying.
Cons
it is not fully free since the unpaid version comes with certain limitations. On the lower-tier plans, older messages can also disappear over time to make room for newer ones which can be frustrating if you need to look back at past conversations.

“simple app”
Pros
Using this software has been really valuable for our team especially because the app itself is simple to use and it makes communication between team members much more convenient.
Cons
The layout feels a bit confusing at first and it definitely takes some time to get comfortable with it. Getting started wasn't as quick as I expected and that's a pretty important issue when speed matters.

“Awesome accessibility”
Pros
Having lots of channels for different topics, departments and teams across the company is the part I appreciate most. The accessibility is a big plus too, it works on nearly any device which really matters since I travel frequently.
Cons
Its biggest weakness is the lack of customization for a team's specific needs. For example, you can't really change a channel's layout or even the background color. It works well for sharing updates with the team but it's not the right place for brainstorming, discussing sensitive information or making decisions. On top of that, getting personalized support when needed can be difficult at times.

“gives in-office feeling to remote teams”
Pros
Working remotely every day, it really gives our team that in-office feeling especially because the huddle feature is so good. Sharing files and passing along information is quick and convenient and the keyword search saves a lot of time when I need to find something fast.
Cons
There is a delay in receiving messages across platforms. There can be a noticeable delay between the two and sometimes a message shows up on my phone minutes before it appears in the computer app.

Pros
Search function is the best part, along with how simple it is to connect other useful apps directly within the platform.

“Ability to turn off work-related notifications”
Pros
Being able to turn off work-related notifications while still getting private messages through other channels. It's also very useful that when I'm added to a channel, I can go back and read earlier conversations to catch up on what happened before I joined.
Cons
The file-sharing side could be better especially on the free plan where storage is limited. It's also not very convenient to get a clear view of all the files that have been shared.

“syncs well with PM tools”
Pros
it connects well with other project management tools that many companies already rely on. It also lets you set up project-specific channels and restrict access to certain people which helps keep conversations more organized and secure.
Cons
