“Modern team communication app”

Pros

It makes team communication feel very modern and next-level compared to traditional ways of working together.

Cons

Up to this point, I haven't come across anything I dislike about it.

Compared with other group messaging apps and websites, this one feels much more accessible. Since we run a self-funded digital publication with staff spread across different parts of the world, it has made communication a lot simpler and more manageable.

Cons

Quite a few staff members have said their alerts were turned off on their own or just were not coming through at all.

“Solid experience”

Pros

During a digital grant competition sponsored by a German organization, I was introduced to Slack for the first time and it turned out to be a really good choice. It comes with useful features that are simple to use and I honestly do not regret using the app.

Cons

I have not come across anything particularly difficult to use but the language preference settings could be improved so that more people are able to use it comfortably.

Pros

Compared with other staff communication tools I've used, this one feels the most simple to navigate. It's simple to start quick one-on-one huddles or bring other people into the conversation and sharing files is really convenient too.

Cons

There are no drawbacks that can be mentioned here.

“I enjoy the features”

Pros

It has been great for collaboration. Adding channels and bringing the right people into conversations is simple which helps get things done more efficiently. I really enjoy most of the features it offers.

I honestly don't have any complaints at this point. The software feels very well built, highly customizable and I really don't have anything bad to say about it.

Pros

I really appreciate how flexible Slack is. It works well for managing projects, supporting sales enablement and connecting directly with people when needed. It's especially well suited for remote teams.

Honestly, I don't have any complaints about it. I've used Slack across several organizations and it has consistently been a powerhouse collaboration tool.

“Professional and secure platform”

Pros

It feels like a professional, secure platform with plenty of customizable features. The file-sharing options are really solid and being able to send code for review is especially useful. Calling that feature amazing still feels like an understatement.

Cons

I haven't run into any real issues with it, aside from the occasional bit of lag.

“multiple screen sharing feature”

Pros

Working remotely gets a lot better with the multiple screen sharing feature. Several people can share their screens at the same time so nobody has to sit around waiting for one person to stop before the next person can present. That has been especially helpful when a team is collaborating on the same project or task from different locations.

Cons

On the downside, the platform does not feel very smooth at times. It also does not let me know when someone has seen or read my chat so there is no clear read notification. There is also a limit on the number of people when creating an IT group which means we end up creating an IT channel instead. Another issue is that not everyone is given permission to archive a channel.

“Lets me set reminders”

Pros

It makes remote work more manageable. It helps me quickly see who on the team is available, keeps notifications timely and lets me set reminders so I don't miss anything important. Video calling is also built in which is really useful and the apps and integrations add a lot of flexibility. I also appreciate having private channels when conversations need to stay limited to specific people.

Cons

An annoyance comes up when sending messages because it sometimes checks for regular expressions in cases where that behavior is not really needed. For certain file types, it would be better if this could be changed or handled differently.

“Overall theme looks good”

Pros

Compared with similar tools, the interface feels more polished and the overall theme looks much better.

Cons

Channels are really useful for organizing different conversations into separate groups.

“Nothing to complain about”

Pros

Using this for team communication has been a really great experience. A single message reaches everyone in the right channel instantly which makes collaboration feel fast and efficient. It's incredibly useful and works very well for keeping everyone aligned in real time.

Honestly, there's very little to complain about with this app. I use it all the time on a regular basis and it continues to be dependable.

Pros

Getting around the platform is really simple so you do not need to be tech-savvy to use it well. It is one of the best team collaboration tools I have used for messaging, tagging, working with teammates and sharing files. The availability of both private chats and team chats also makes communication much more convenient.

Cons

Message notifications can sometimes arrive late and there are times when the alert shows up around 30 minutes after the message was sent.

“affordable and worth it”

Pros

Compared with similar tools, this one is much more budget-friendly and that's the part I appreciate most.

Using it feels a lot like WhatsApp which makes it very accessible. What I appreciate most is that if you get removed from a project group, the messages are still saved but you stop receiving notifications from it.

The installation process was the hardest part. It only managed to install properly on my computer after the third attempt.

“No bugs at all”

Pros

After nearly a year of using it, every department on our team has really taken to it. It's been a very effective way to stay in sync within individual teams and also collaborate across different functions. We rely on it for daily follow-ups, project coordination and task tracking. Our IT team even uses it for bug tracking and supporting remote work. Staying connected with coworkers is now just one click away and it has made communication feel much more immediate and unified.

We haven't run into any issues or bugs with it at all. It has been working flawlessly for us.

Across many organizations, including mine, this software has become a really valuable tool for teamwork and collaboration. It supports just about every kind of collaborative task we need so teams can communicate, coordinate and work together effectively in one place.

Cons

search bar could be better. When searching for a person, it also brings up shared files, whereas it would be more helpful if it showed only names in those results.

It has become our go-to space for day-to-day team communication. We use it for much more than just messaging. Includes chatting, audio and video calls, file sharing and even setting up simple polls for the team. The detailed notification controls are especially helpful since we can decide when to stay available to others and when to mute alerts to concentrate on the task at hand. The integrations with tools like Google Drive and Calamari are also a big plus. Overall, it's very user-friendly and simple to navigate on both desktop and mobile. It's hard to imagine our everyday work without it.

Cons

The only real downside is that the steady flow of notifications can sometimes become distracting.

Right from the start, it felt very user-friendly and simple to use. The design is user-friendly which makes everything simple to navigate. Features like huddles and screen sharing have been especially useful for day-to-day communication with coworkers.

There really aren't any major downsides for me although there are times when my messages take a little longer to load than I'd prefer.
