“comes with plenty of extra features”
Pros
It works really well as a messaging tool and it comes with plenty of extra features on top of that. It makes both formal conversations and casual chats with coworkers feel effortless.
Cons
At this point, there's nothing about it that I dislike.

“useful for full-time work”
Pros
It has been really useful for full-time work since it keeps everything professional in one place. It's a solid app for staying organized and managing work communication without mixing it with personal stuff.
Cons
When it asks for an update, I'm not sure where I'm supposed to click to actually do it. It may be something handled through my organization but it still leaves me guessing.

“Keeps communication relevant”
Pros
Threads are fantastic and being able to create as many channels as needed keeps communication organized and relevant.
Cons
when a few people are already in a conversation and someone new needs to be added, Slack starts a new chat instead of keeping everything in the same thread which makes the original context harder to follow.

“Speeds up problem-solving”
Pros
It is a very user-friendly tool and helps keep the team connected even while working remotely. Among its best features are the video conferences and huddles which work like quick calls. These functions help speed up problem-solving and make day-to-day communication much faster. It can also be integrated with many other apps which adds a lot of value.
Cons
The downside of the platform is that integrating some apps can be difficult.

“weak mobile performance”
Pros
Slack has an easy to use, interactive interface and offers plenty of features that make collaboration convenient and efficient.
Cons
On mobile devices though, the app's performance could be better. It feels heavy and really needs to be more lightweight for mobile use.

“community feel”
Pros
It really gives the feeling of being part of a community. The different channels make it simple to follow whatever topics matter to you at the moment and being able to message someone directly even when you don't already have their contact details is really convenient.
Cons
you can't simply search for a workspace in the app and request to join it. At the same time, I understand why that limitation exists and can see it as a safety feature so I'm a little torn about it.

“combines information sharing with instant messaging”
Pros
Working as a team, there really aren't many options that combine information sharing with instant messaging this well. It gives access to important documents and useful information from coworkers and the interface is pleasant to use. I also really appreciate how quickly updates and messages come through.
Cons
It could use a bit more color to help identify certain actions or activities more easily. At times, it also gets a little confusing when trying to find notifications or figure out where I was tagged.

“Huddles changed our workflow”
Pros
It has become my go-to choice for company communication because it covers so much of what our team needs in one place. The Huddle feature has honestly been a game changer for us. Being able to jump into a live voice call, share a screen or turn on video for quick, unplanned meetings makes a huge difference during the day and it puts much less strain on my computer than using Zoom or Google Meet. I also rely on the file-sharing feature constantly, probably around 50 times a day. It's really helpful to discuss specific documents in real time and still have everything saved in the conversation so I can go back later and review the information when needed.
Cons
Color scheme can be improved. At times, it can be a little hard to read especially in very bright lighting where the dark background and light text don't always work well together. It would be nice if there were more theme options available such as a clearer light mode and dark mode that users could switch between.

“custom alerts across devices”
Pros
Between the mobile app and web version, Slack covers everything we need for team communication. It lets you manage notification settings separately on different devices, has bot reminders and connects well with other applications. I also appreciate the channel restrictions and the option to customize alerts differently for mobile and web. The Thread feature is especially useful for keeping ongoing topic-based conversations organized. Real-time communication happens without delays and the notification feature works well whether you need to alert a whole group or just one person. It's definitely one of the best tools for team communication.
Cons
I honestly haven't run into any major issues myself. The only thing I've heard from some teammates is that notifications occasionally stop working but after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, it seems to start working properly again.

“changed the way I communicate”
Pros
It has completely changed the way my team and I communicate. The interface is clean, the customization options are useful and the overall convenience makes it the app I rely on most for messaging. Everything about it feels user-friendly and it has become my go-to choice for staying connected with the team.
Cons
The only thing I'd really want improved is the notification sound for replies in message threads. I haven't noticed any audible alert for those so unless I'm tagged directly, it's easy to miss that someone has responded.

“effective for direct messaging”
Pros
Most of the time, I use it for direct messaging with people on my staff team. The interface is simple to move around and it lets us keep specific discussions contained within separate channels so things don't get mixed up. That's especially helpful when we want to keep serious work-related conversations apart from more casual or social chat.
Cons
Every now and then, moving between different channels can be a bit confusing. It's not always obvious how to exit one conversation space and switch into another.

“Obvious choice for team communication”

When it comes to team communication, it is an obvious choice. It works really well for messaging and makes collaboration feel natural.

“Designed with end users in mind”
Pros
Getting around it feels very simple. Channels, chats and updates are simple to find and the interface is very user-friendly and clearly designed with the end user in mind.
Cons
Huddles and calls can be a bit glitchy at times. I've also been dealing with an issue for a while where incoming calls don't come through so I always have to call back which gets frustrating. Finding shared files isn't very convenient either.

“Well-designed mobile app”
Pros
Found it easy to operate. The near real-time communication with my team is essential when working remotely and it makes staying connected throughout the day feel effortless. The mobile app is also thoughtfully designed and works really well which makes it just as convenient to use on the go.
Cons
I'd still like broader integration with more common workplace tools but aside from that, it handles its core features extremely well.

“Digital workspace to handle meetings”
Pros
Using it every day has really improved how my team communicates. The platform is very simple to use and I really enjoy features like screen sharing, mobile access, file sharing, video conferencing and many others. It gives me a digital workspace where I can handle meetings and instant messaging in one place. It has become part of my daily routine and I genuinely enjoy using it.
Cons
I honestly haven't run into any feature that I dislike. At this point, I'm very satisfied with how it performs though there's always some room for future improvements. Overall, it's already doing an amazing job.

“essential for staying connected”
Pros
It has been a really valuable tool for team collaboration and communication across different functions. I use it every day as my primary channel for instant messaging and audio calls at work. Since my organization is remote-first, having a platform like this is absolutely essential for staying connected and keeping conversations moving.
Cons
The huddle feature can be unreliable at times and occasionally runs into bugs that cause connection drops or intermittent failures. That part definitely needs improvement. Mobile app notifications are also sometimes delayed and when you rely on Slack to receive every workplace message, that can lead to slow replies and gaps in communication.

“Lets me manage multiple organizations”
Pros
Keeping team communication organized works really well here. Being able to manage multiple organizations like separate unrelated clients, from one interface is incredibly convenient.
Cons

“Overpriced”
Pros
Keeping workspaces separate is simple and the platform offers plenty of customization options both for individual users and across the entire workspace.
Cons
The pricing feels far too high for what's actually included. Adding new workspaces is more frustrating than it needs to be and on the free plan the chat history disappears much too quickly while image uploads are capped at a limited number.
