“convenient to move between organizations”
Pros
Managing channel access by team member has been really useful. It also makes it simple to connect with external companies and communicate with third-party organizations without any hassle. Moving between different organizations is very convenient and being able to open multiple IT apps across several computer systems using the same login is a big advantage too.
Cons
I honestly haven't run into any issues yet. The features have all been very satisfying so far.

“Massive user base”
Pros
One of the biggest advantages is the massive user base and active peer community so whenever an integration issue or other problem comes up, there's usually a solution or someone ready to help troubleshoot. It's a dependable platform with plenty of essential features which makes it easier to keep my attention on the business instead of the tool itself.
Cons
The built-in video conferencing isn't its strongest feature so I usually end up switching to another app whenever I need to set up a call or meeting.

“covers everything one expects”
Pros
Between messaging, channels and all the other core chat features, it covers basically everything you'd expect from a communication platform. Our team now relies on it for all office communication and honestly, I wouldn't want to switch to anything else.
Cons
Every now and then, notifications just don't come through for no clear reason. That part can be really frustrating since it means I might miss something important. It doesn't happen often though and the benefits still far outweigh that downside.

“Unparalleled ease of use”
Pros
Using it feels very easy and the emojis, GIFs and the ability to keep a long conversation thread saved in one place make communication much more organized and enjoyable.
Cons
I don't have any complaints about this software. It offers so many excellent features and integrations with third-party tools that it really stands out as the best option.

“effortless navigation”
Pros
Being able to switch between active and inactive status, pause notifications, set custom statuses and upload business logos has been really useful. The interface is simple to navigate so getting around it doesn't take much effort. The biggest advantage for our team came when Covid forced everyone to work from home. We lost those quick "doorway" chats with coworkers and Slack brought a lot of that back by letting us tag people in conversations, whether they were work-related or just personal check-ins.
Cons
Something that could make it even better would be a built-in music player with focus-friendly music to help with concentration and productivity.

“Works everywhere”
Pros
Whether I'm at the office, on my phone, moving between job sites or back home, Slack works wherever I need it. That kind of flexibility makes a big difference in my day since I'm constantly switching locations. The interface is pretty minimal but it does the job well and feels efficient in a professional work environment.
Cons
A couple of things still need attention. First, when both the desktop and mobile apps are open, notifications can be unreliable even with the correct settings in place. I've ended up missing alerts before and they were always the urgent, time-sensitive ones. Second some of the controls are not very user-friendly. I inherited the account from a previous admin and even after having the settings transferred, I still haven't been able to remove former employees from a general chat. That process really should be more simple.

“Hassle-free communication”
Pros
Setting up groups is really useful and it lets us communicate with all the members at the same time without any hassle.
Cons
The notifications don't work properly though. They keep getting muted all the time which makes it easy to miss messages.

“great for supporting a digitally reliant workforce”
Pros
It has been a fantastic platform for supporting a digitally reliant workforce. It makes real-time collaboration feel natural, allows smooth communication across the whole company as well as in one-on-one conversations and helps build a stronger sense of belonging in the workplace.
Cons
Even though it's an excellent tool overall, the conferencing and screen-sharing features still have room for improvement before it can truly serve as a complete all-in-one solution for internal communication and collaboration. As it stands, those options are only average in quality.

“Screen sharing keeps us connected”
Pros
Screen sharing has been the standout feature for our team. We used to jump over to Google Meet or Zoom for quick discussions but now we handle our weekly morning check-ins right inside Slack before the day gets going.
Cons
Looking up a teammate can be pretty time-consuming especially when we haven't chatted with them in a while. It would be much better if the interface kept all teammates visible in the left pane at all times.

“Fun teamwork and constant connection”
Pros
Using it has been both fun and effortless and the mobile app works really well too. It keeps our team in constant contact, makes project collaboration simple and helps everyone stay updated on the latest company news and events.
Cons
I really haven't run into any problems myself although some teammates occasionally mention that it goes down. Personally, I haven't experienced that issue.

“Suited for professional communication”
Pros
Feels simple on both desktop and mobile. It's a really solid platform for professional communication and the extra touches like GIFs, emojis and other fun widgets help make workplace conversations a lot more enjoyable.
Cons
calling feature always seems to give me trouble. I'm not sure whether that comes from the software itself or just user error on my end.

“Works fine for internal team discussions”
Pros
Slack is a really powerful tool for communication. It works very well for internal team discussions, file and information sharing and also for staying connected with customers, suppliers and business partners. Those are the features I value most in this software.
Cons
it can get a bit slow when there is a large amount of data stored in it. Also, for unpaid users, the 90-day message history feels too limited and would be much better if it were extended to around six months.

“can be customized according to our needs”
Pros
Working from home has been much better because this keeps me connected and up to date with my team at all times. Instant messaging, fast huddles, multiple channels and integrations with other apps are the features I use the most. The interface feels user-friendly and the settings can be customized to match different needs. It's also simple to look up past conversations or pause notifications when I'm away or stuck in meetings. Absolutely love using this software!
Cons
Honestly, I haven't run into any problems with it at all. A few of my coworkers have mentioned huddle issues but on my end, it has been performing really well.

Pros
It is a tool that really helps improve communication and collaboration. It gives you the option to send messages to one person or to a group and sharing files is simple as well. It is especially useful for teamwork because it's simple to use and you can access your conversations anytime and from anywhere.

“useful Jira access”
Pros
Having JIRA access built into Slack is probably the most valuable part for me especially for issue tracking. I also really appreciate the multiple channels since they let different issues be discussed separately and keep conversations much more organized.
Cons
Using it on mobile devices is a bit of a hassle. The multiple layers of security make logging in on both desktop and mobile more troublesome than I'd like.
