“can share data with colleagues”
Pros
Working with a team feels much more organized with this software because it's simple to access and use. It lets us chat, share screens and send project documents and files without any hassle. Having separate channels for each team or project makes it much easier to keep conversations in one place and quickly connect with the right people. The video and audio quality is also very reliable which helps make meetings with coworkers more effective. Extras like reminders, gifs, stickers and emojis are a nice bonus and it's really useful for staying connected and sharing information with colleagues from anywhere.
Cons
It frequently redirects me to the website to log in and authenticate again. There are also times when notifications or pop-ups don't come through as expected. Screen sharing can occasionally slow down the overall performance which gets annoying during meetings. On top of that, the search filters don't work very well and often fail to return accurate results.

“Fast communication we rely on”
Pros
Running a marketing agency means juggling different contract types and a wide range of clients and it has become essential for keeping communication quick and avoiding long, messy email chains. It's one of those tools we genuinely can't work without.
Cons
It's also nice to see the restrictions on free accounts being removed since that gives new users a better chance to explore the platform properly and make it part of their day-to-day workflow.

“great for timely responses”
Pros
Every day, this is the tool I rely on to stay connected. I work with a client whose employees are spread across the world and their messages reach me right away through this platform. Since I'm in warehousing and logistics some of the questions I handle need answers on a tight deadline and it has been consistently dependable. It also alerts me whenever someone needs something from me which helps me stay responsive. My clients really appreciate how quickly I reply and a lot of that comes from the timely notifications it gives me.
Cons
There's only one minor thing that bothers me and it's probably something most people would laugh at. Pressing the Enter key sends the message instead of moving to the next line for a new paragraph. I always have to remind myself to use SHIFT + ENTER when I want to continue typing on the next line.

“Integrates easily with google Docs and Zoom”
Pros
After using it across several companies for more than four years, it still feels like the best way to communicate while working remotely. The integrations are especially useful and connecting it with other apps like Google Docs and Zoom is really convenient.
Cons
The formatting can be a bit buggy sometimes but it is not a major deal breaker.

“costs less than many alternatives”
Pros
It costs less than many alternatives while still being efficient, reliable and fast. Another plus is that it doesn't take up much storage space.
Cons
It's been very helpful overall so I really don't have any complaints.

“User-friendly UI”
Pros
Easy to use and setting it up didn't take much effort. Sharing files is simple, creating separate channels for different groups works really well and the interface feels very user-friendly overall.
Cons
Having to enter my username and password again for every channel I join gets annoying. After you're part of several channels, logging into each one separately and checking them all becomes a real hassle.

“Lets me view a user's full profile details”
Pros
Setting up channels for different purposes is pretty simple and adding people happens right away. You can also view a user's full profile details without leaving the same window which is really convenient.
Cons
Getting started can feel a bit difficult and somewhat confusing at first but once you spend some time using it, the platform becomes much easier to understand.

“A place to connect”
Pros
It has been really helpful for team coordination and it also gives the community a place to connect, support one another and chat whether we're meeting in person or communicating remotely.
Cons
I honestly can't think of any downsides right now, I haven't had any complaints at all.

“Big fan of the shortcut features”
Pros
Using it for team communication has been really convenient. It's very simple to use and I'm a big fan of the shortcut features since they make everything faster.
Cons
The pricing could be better and when there are too many channels, the constant messages can get annoying.

“Fun huddles and team reactions”
Pros
Appreciate the huddle feature, plus the ability to upload custom emojis that the whole team can use as reactions which can be really funny at times. I also enjoy that it works with Giphy so there are tons of different GIFs to use when reacting to a post or sending feel-good messages.
Cons
it doesn't work very well with Gmail so notifications end up coming through Gmail too instead of staying within Slack and being checked alongside other work messages.

“Brilliant for one-on-one chat”
Pros
It is very simple to use. It lets me chat one-on-one with any user whenever needed and sharing information there is much better than sending emails to everyone.
Cons
The only thing I feel is missing is video and screen-sharing functionality, along with an option to schedule messages to send later.

“Syncs with Notion”
Pros
Having video and audio calls built right into the platform is a big plus. The integrations with other apps like Notion and Google are also really useful and help keep everything connected. File sharing is another feature that works well and makes team collaboration much easier.
Cons
the video calling feature can occasionally lag or stop working because of bugs.

“Lets me share files”
Pros
Being able to stay in direct contact every day with clients who need it is the part I value most. It makes work much more efficient since other channels can be slower than using this kind of live chat. On top of that, it lets me share files which also speeds things up without having to rely on email.
Cons
The part I like least is that message notifications to email often arrive late. In the end, I work around it by keeping it open all the time since the messages do pop up properly as in-app notifications.

“google calendar integration is great”
Pros
it integrates well with Google Calendar and that has been very useful for me.
Cons
As I moved from one screen panel to another, they seemed to shift around and overlap in a distracting way and the overall look and feel made it seem like part of the screen was missing from view.

“Love this app”
Pros
Working together has become much easier with this tool. The channel setup does a really good job of keeping conversations separated and organized.
Cons

“Includes powerful features”
Pros
Pretty easy to use. It connects well with almost any commonly used platform, lets you create rooms or chats for specific interests and includes very powerful features for calls, video meetings and document sharing.
Cons
Not happy with the amount of time conversations or chats are kept. Also, the way replies to conversations are handled in a separate space can sometimes be inconvenient.

“Integrations that transform teamwork”
Pros
Slack's integrations with other tools open up almost unlimited possibilities to keep everything in one place. On top of that, you can build workflows that help simplify processes and save time.
Cons
At times some notifications either don't come through or arrive late. We've never been able to tell whether it's an IT-related issue or a setting we haven't managed to identify since it happens intermittently and only for certain users.

“Suitable for work and personal use”
Pros
Between work and personal use, it fits really well in both settings. At work, we use different channels to communicate with other teams and even for the larger company group we belong to. Being able to create channels and manage users is really practical. I also appreciate that it works just as well on mobile as on PC. Another big advantage is the number of extra tools you can connect like Google Drive, chatbots, task apps and more.
Cons
With the free version, we ran into an unpleasant surprise when one channel got locked because it had not been used for 30 days. The only way to recover the files and conversation history was to upgrade to the paid plan.

“Quick contact with everyone”
Pros
It's really useful how quickly you can get in touch with everyone. You can send files back and forth, create group chats and also jump into a video call or conference whenever needed.
Cons
The Huddle option isn't my favorite. I tend to miss calls or invitations there because the alert doesn't ring as clearly as a normal call notification.

“Very capable platform”
Pros
Keeping up with several remote communities at the same time is much more manageable with it. It's a really capable platform for people working from home and it also works very well for offices that want to strengthen internal communication and improve overall efficiency.
Cons
It does its job extremely well and at the moment there's not much it truly lacks. If I had to point to one possible upgrade, it would be the addition of tags or categories so a conversation or comment could appear in more than one place. That's different from a channel which is better suited for grouping discussions around one specific topic or area of focus.
