“Simple to move around”
Pros
It has a very user-friendly design so getting around it and using it day to day feels natural. The mobile app is also really well done and there are plenty of features, plugins and customization options that make it work for different teams and workflows.
Cons
The pricing may be a bit too expensive for some smaller companies.

“Private messaging and file sharing”
Pros
Does a really good job with file sharing and messaging and the privacy side of it is one of the best parts.
Cons
I honestly don't have anything negative to point out here because it has worked really well for me overall.

“Allows users to create groups”
Pros
Slack is built around organizing conversations into groups and topic-based categories which makes team communication much more structured. Depending on the subscription plan, it also lets users share files and upload images that stay stored on the server so other people can access them whenever needed.
Cons
It’s a bit costly especially when there are free alternatives available that provide very similar features. On top of that, the mobile app can be unreliable at times and occasionally fails to show groups or contacts properly.

“Extremely satisfied with the product”
Pros
Set up process was quick and using it feels very simple. It covers all the essentials really well, from group chats and channels to audio and video calls, file sharing, search and plenty of other useful features.
Cons
I've been very satisfied with the product overall and genuinely enjoy using it.

“conversations sync across devices”
Pros
Keeping everyone connected has been really simple with this. It works well on both desktop and mobile and all the conversations sync across devices which makes it simple to stay updated wherever you are. We use it for team channels, direct messages and organized group chats and that helps us stay on top of tasks. When work gets hectic, having a clear and reliable way to communicate makes a big difference.
Cons
Sharing files can be a bit awkward when they're larger so we usually fall back on email for that. For screenshots and single-page documents though, sending them to a coworker is quick and hassle-free.

“Separate channels for specific purposes”
Pros
Channels are probably the feature I appreciate most. You can set up separate channels for specific purposes and include the right people in each one which makes communication much more organized and helps ensure messages go to the right groups.
Cons
One thing missing on the mobile app is the option to receive notifications for every message. Right now, I only get alerts for direct messages or when I'm tagged. It would be much better if users could customize notifications and choose to get updates for all chats.

“Love the set of features it offers”
Pros
I really enjoy the set of features they offer especially huddles, screen sharing, audio calls and the pen tools that let you draw directly on the screen while sharing. Those tools make collaboration feel much more interactive and useful.
Cons
Message management could definitely be better. When conversations get very busy some messages tend to get buried which makes them hard to track and organize. The pen tools could also use some improvement so drawing feels more fluid and responsive.

“Easy to access”
Pros
Using it has been simple from the start and it's simple to access whenever I need it. It's also flexible enough to cover all the different needs my team has.
Cons
Honestly, I haven't run into any issues. Everything I've used has worked really well and I haven't had any trouble with it so far.

“Not hard to bring people on board”
Pros
Getting it up and running is pretty simple and bringing everyone on board is easy thanks to the multiple single sign-on options. Being able to switch between accounts without hassle on both the web and mobile app is also a big plus.
Cons
There really isn't anything I dislike about it. I also haven't had the chance to try every feature yet like video conferencing so I can't really say whether those parts work well for me or not.

“Would definitely recommend”
Pros
Working with a team especially remote employees, feels much more manageable with it because it's very simple to use. I also really appreciate how simple it is to connect other apps like Google Calendar and Jira Cloud right inside the platform. The video calling and screen sharing features are uncomplicated and the huddle option when creating a channel is a nice touch for those times when a quick audio-only meeting is all that's needed. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone collaborating with a team.
Cons
At times, video calls can look blurry even when the internet connection is very strong.

“helpful tagging for busy teams”
Pros
Tagging specific people in messages is really useful. A lot of us are part of multiple groups so messages can easily get buried once you've already opened them.
Cons
It would be much better if there were one place to review the latest messages you've received across different channels or threads. Another frustration is that the desktop version doesn't let you press Enter to start a new paragraph like the mobile app does. On desktop, hitting Enter just sends the entire message right away.

“Search tool is nice”
Pros
Having separate channels really helps keep everything inside the workspace organized and easier to follow. Another feature I really appreciate is the search tool since it makes it simple to go back to older conversations and quickly find exactly what I need.
Cons
Recently, I ran into a problem with screen sharing during a video call. On one side it showed that the screen was being shared but on the other side it wasn't actually appearing.

“Top-tier chat interface”
Pros
Right away, the interface feels better than anything else in this category. The real-time chat works really well and the whole platform is user-friendly enough that it doesn't take long to get comfortable with it.
Cons
if your company is heavily invested in Office 365, the integrations are not the strongest and in that situation Microsoft Teams may be a better fit. Aside from that, the video quality could be better. It hasn't been a major issue for my team since we mainly depend on the chat and collaboration features but it's still worth keeping in mind.

“has a nostalgic vibe”
Pros
There's a bit of a nostalgic vibe to Slack which I enjoy and it's very simple to use. It also connects well with the apps our team relies on most especially Asana and Google Drive/Docs.
Cons
The part I really disliked was that older messages used to get deleted while we were on the free plan. That said, I recently saw a notification saying this won't happen anymore going forward. The mobile app can also be a little buggy now and then.
