Affordable webinar replays

Pros

One of the best parts of Zoom Workplace is being able to record meetings and save them afterward. Our company runs webinars and it's a budget friendly, practical way to make sure attendees can access a replay later.

Cons

Getting everything set up for our webinar needs does take some figuring out. I use screen sharing a lot and it took quite a bit of trial, plus help from ChatGPT to work out how to show my PowerPoint without displaying the presenter notes.

very helpful support

Pros

Their customer support has been really good. Compared with Teams, it uses much less CPU so my device does not slow down or lag.

Cons

The free plan still feels restrictive because of the time limit and participant cap. So it would be better if they expanded that a bit so non academic users could benefit more too.

Clear video calls and teamwork

Pros

It has been really useful for me because it lets me handle multiple video meetings, collaborate with my team and the video quality stays very clear throughout.

Cons

I noticed that the Zoom link takes a bit longer than expected to register and let other participants join especially while they are waiting for the host to admit them.

Packed with everything useful

Pros

After trying a bunch of other video meeting platforms, this is still the one that comes out on top. My guests never seem to enjoy the alternatives as one of them records only the person speaking which makes reviewing the video later pretty frustrating. But Zoom handles all of that much better. The AI note taker is also genuinely useful, the summaries it generates save time and having both audio and video recordings available is a big plus. On top of that it covers all the in-call features I need like screen sharing, sharing sound and even filters that help everyone look a little better. At this point it really feels like they have thought of everything.

Cons

Honestly I am a little tired of it and wish there were something new that could shake things up a bit. I have tested other options for that reason but I keep ending up back here because in the end it's still the best one.

Meeting invites that fit anywhere

Pros

Being able to meet with my clients from just about anywhere is a huge plus. I also really like how the meeting invites tie into my email once everything is set up.

Cons

Getting the email integration working took a bit more effort than I expected. Overall it ended up taking more time than I really wanted to spend on it.

allows productive teamwork

Pros

It felt visually clean and pretty easy to navigate. As everything is arranged in a way that helps teams stay organized and get things done efficiently. Plus the overall layout makes collaboration feel simple and practical even for people who are new to using it.

Cons

At this point I really have not come across any major issues. As it has been working well for what I need and I have not noticed any problems that are worth pointing out yet.

great for classes and hosting

Pros

I must say it is still a very reliable platform for hosting classes for both presenters and attendees. The only thing I have noticed is that the recording quality seems a bit lower than it used to be.

Cons

Whenever I launch it from my iPhone, it sometimes ends up triggering podcast apps to open, usually Apple Podcasts or Spotify.

pretty perfect for small teams

Pros

Zoom Workplace helps my one person team come across as much more professional thanks to its user friendly features and easy setup.

Cons

One thing I do not like is its user interface. As the menu options feel outdated compared with newer web conferencing platforms and other modern tech tools.

Popular for business calls

Pros

It well for me mainly because it's so widely used and most of my colleagues already rely on it for business video calls. That makes it very easy to use. It is also very simple overall and the customer support is definitely a plus.

Cons

The part I do not like is the time limit it puts on meetings. It ends the call after 40 minutes which feels like it's pushing you to upgrade. On top of that it can be buggy and cause issues at times.

ideal for video calls for teams

Pros

Zoom has been a great option for video calls and scheduling meetings. As it is easy to use and works well for team collaboration. Though I did not end up using the file management features but I also did not run into any bugs or issues and there was never a need to contact customer support.

Cons

Compared with some alternatives, the value for money does not feel quite as strong since it seems like you are paying more for basic functionality than for a broader set of features.

Good but not the best

Pros

We coordinated everything on Zoom so moving over should be a simple transition without any extra cost. And that kind of setup does not come up very often.

Cons

Frequent operational glitches are the biggest issue. Since we use it daily for group sessions, whenever I am asked to take over as host, about half the time I never get notified that someone is sitting in the waiting room and the load times can be painfully slow.

pretty amazing live streaming

Pros

Having chat sessions built in is really useful and the video call quality has been consistently very good. It also does a great job with file management and the screen sharing feature is something I rely on a lot. The auto-record option is a big advantage for hosts and their customer support team has been helpful whenever needed. In short it is very simple to use, offers excellent value for money and works really efficiently for team collaboration.

Cons

Only thing I don't enjoy is that it uses a high amount of data. It also has some bugs and occasional issues and the ads can be distracting at times.

Versatile meetings and webinars

Pros

Setting up invites and scheduling calls is really easy, whether it's a one on one meeting or a webinar with thousands of attendees. The annotation tools during screen sharing are also a nice touch and make collaboration better.

Cons

The thing that could be improved is how differently microphone volumes come through from person to person. Also it would help a lot to have better audio balancing so louder mics get toned down and quieter ones are boosted. It would also be useful to show more clearly when multiple people start talking at the same time because of lag since in larger calls it can be difficult to tell who actually spoke.

Useful tools and file sharing

Pros

Right away the layout feels simple to work with and includes the key features I need to stay productive. Creating, saving and sharing files is very easy too which makes getting work done much easier.

Cons

One biggest limitation is that not enough people are using it yet for it to be truly practical. Most people still rely on Google Drive so that ends up being the more convenient option. I do think it is the better product but I probably won't use it much until adoption becomes more widespread.

simplied everything!

Pros

Zoom Workplace has become our organization's go to choice for managing meetings. Overall it handles everything well from scheduling with convenient embedded links to video calls and recordings afterward that we can use later for coaching and follow-up.

Cons

The issue that comes up from time to time is when people from other organizations use different platforms. They can sometimes run into trouble joining our Zoom calls so the experience for non-Zoom Workplace users could be made more seamless and less frustrating.

So far the top tool

Pros

Using it has been a really positive experience. As it is simple to navigate, dependable and the video and audio quality stay consistently the best. It also fits nicely into calendar tools and team workflows which makes scheduling meetings and working with clients or staff feel pretty simple, even for people who aren't very technical.

Cons

A downside is that some of the more advanced features are only available on the higher-tier plans and now and then updates change settings without much warning. Plus more built-in customization options without having to upgrade would definitely make it better.

Fantastic for team collaboration

Pros

Getting started with Zoom workplace is very easy. As it makes video calls and meetings simple to run and it really helps teams collaborate better in the workplace.

Cons

Honestly there is not much I dislike about it. The only thing I'd mention is that using it for meetings on a mobile phone tends to drain the battery pretty quickly, I mean it works much better on a laptop or desktop.

works the best during pandemic

Pros

During the pandemic this product completely changed how students, employees and plenty of other people could collaborate, attend classes and simply stay connected. In short it is very simple to use for calls, meetings, learning sessions and similar day to day communication needs.

Cons

It is mostly recognized as a tool for video calls and meetings. Even if it may be one of the best options in that area, choosing to switch over to this single platform from other competing alternatives may not be the most easiest decision.

keep sessions productive

Pros

Having whiteboards and documents built in is really helpful and I like that everything is saved so it is there to refer back to in the next session. The free version also gives very good value since the meeting length is usually enough to keep everyone focused and still have a productive session or meeting.

Cons

I mainly use it for teaching so it works best when collaborators join from a desktop or laptop. On the mobile app it is harder for them to follow along and they cannot make full use of all the helpful features. At times it honestly makes me wish it didn't offer a mobile version at all.

Works wonder for us!

Pros

Zoom works really well for all kinds of meetings and classes and it's a very simple app to use for team collaboration and managing files.

Cons

The thing I don't like is how hard it is to find the right backgrounds for Zoom calls since I prefer using a background during my meetings.
