handy calendar integration

Pros

Getting a new meeting up and running is simple and the Google Calendar integration is really useful.

Cons

A few of the controls can be confusing to use and some settings take too much digging to find. It also feels like there are useful features available that aren't very easy to discover. When using multiple monitors, tracking down the controls can sometimes be frustrating.

home training made simple

Pros

Using this tool has made things much more convenient and it saves me a lot of time and effort compared with working from the company's headquarters. I can follow instructions clearly and attend all my training sessions right from home through the program and the whole setup is very simple to use.

Cons

The app feels very simple to use and that is actually the part I appreciate most about it. At the same time, I'd still like to see more features added that keep that easy feel while giving me more tools to work with.

helpful during covid

Pros

Since I started using the platform early on, it has really helped me set up all kinds of online meetings especially during the pandemic when virtual communication became essential.

Cons

I don't have anything significant to criticize. The only occasional issue is when the connection drops or the network fluctuates but that usually comes from unstable internet rather than the app itself.

classroom-ready

Pros

Downloading and getting started with it is easy and it can handle a large audience without trouble. It's especially useful for classes and webinars and the Google Calendar integration is a nice bonus.

Cons

The part I'm not too happy with is the pricing and it's also frustrating that you can't remove inappropriate or negative comments on the spot.

smart features

Pros

Is easily one of the best meeting platforms out there and it's clear why so many people were using it daily in 2020. A big reason is not just the number of features it offers but how simple they are to use. That was the part that impressed me most. The first time I used this platform, I understood the tools and the way everything worked almost right away. It really feels designed with users in mind especially because the interface is clean, friendly and easy even for people who are not very comfortable with technology. The screen-sharing feature is also incredibly useful and makes it much easier for me to present content during meetings and webinars. On top of that the virtual background feature is my favorite because it lets me match my background to the theme of whatever meeting or webinar I'm attending.

Cons

Problem is that some of the features I need are only available in the paid version. The pricing is not overly expensive but I would still rather have those features included for free. There are also times when its connection feels less stable than some other video conferencing apps.

versatile video controls

Pros

Right away the features that impressed me most were the animated backgrounds with a green screen, the noise suppression and the option to run two cameras at the same time. It was also very convenient to switch the audio output source, microphone and camera whenever needed. Also the integrations I set up with OBS were pretty simple and easy.

Cons

Creating online surveys felt more inconvenient than it should have been. File sharing was not very user friendly either. The initial audio setup was also confusing for first-time guests even for people who are usually comfortable with technology.

useful for remote meetings

Pros

Since COVID changed the way we work and meet, this platform has been really helpful in replacing face-to-face meetings. It's an excellent tool for connecting with people and holding meetings without needing to be physically present in the same place.

Cons

The only issue I notice is the quality. When the network or signal varies too much, it affects how well the conversation flows because the audio and video can freeze or become choppy.

great sharing tools

Pros

Using this tool has been very easy and it comes packed with really impressive features. The ones I rely on the most are instant messaging, audio and video calls, file sharing, screen sharing, recording, webinars and the hand-raising option during meetings.

Cons

Could definitely do better with occasional audio drops and video quality problems. Aside from that, the software has been amazing overall.

meetings on weak networks

Pros

Has kept getting better with updates that make remote work and online meetings more practical. The real-time screen sharing has been especially useful for teaching and sharing notes and it helps a lot that I can present my screen while still seeing the participants. One feature I really appreciate is how well it continues to perform even with poor internet which is common in countries like mine. Updates such as giving the host the ability to mute noisy participants have also made meetings much more manageable. It has made it much easier to stay connected with coworkers, friends and family and the platform is user friendly with plenty of features that make interaction better during these crazy times.

Cons

The only thing I still wish for is a longer time limit on the free version since 1 hour and 40 minutes can feel a bit short though for a free service it is still fairly reasonable.

good for large groups

Pros

It has a lot going for it especially when it comes to bringing large groups together. It lets more than 100 people join a meeting for free without hurting the service quality which is a big advantage. There's also no real limit on how many video feeds can appear at the same time and that makes it stand out. This has been incredibly helpful in my work and in the meetings I organize. It has also made remote work much more accessible for people with disabilities. I had a blind colleague who was able to work remotely without difficulty and I also knew someone with a mobility disability who could easily attend and participate in meetings through it.

Cons

Somehing that gets frustrating is how many clicks it takes to do simple tasks. When I'm already logged in, I'd prefer to schedule a meeting directly instead of having to go through my account page first. The same goes for changing my default background, it feels unnecessary to need 3 to 5 clicks just to update something that basic.

global teaching made possible

Pros

After more than four years teaching online, this platform has let me share my lessons with students all over the world.

Cons

Every now and then, it runs into bugs that either freeze during a meeting or boot me out unexpectedly.

dependable for e-learning

Pros

Whether it's for interviews, catching up with friends or joining online classes, I use this option quite a lot. It's a really good platform overall and offers solid value especially for e-learning and virtual meetings.

Cons

I don't like that the sound volume can be very low so I usually have to use earphones to hear everything properly during meetings.

Kept us connected

Pros

During the pandemic, this really helped our team stay in touch while working remotely. Staff could still join meetings and communicate with clients even when they weren't in the office which made a big difference for keeping work moving.

Cons

There honestly weren't many downsides for us. It handled what we needed very well. The only occasional problem was connectivity although I'm not sure that was actually caused by the software itself since it may have been related to staff or clients having unstable internet connections.

accessible platform

Pros

Working remotely is much more convenient with this tool because it feels very accessible and simple to use. The screen sharing works really well, recordings feel secure and having control over attendees and what gets shared is very valuable. Other than that the transmission quality is consistently high which makes it one of the most important features for me.

Cons

What bothers me is the way chat notifications appear. They can feel a bit too disruptive at times although it is still important to keep up with attendees' reactions.

works on every device

Pros

It is widely accepted and runs on pretty much any device so whether someone uses Apple/iOS android, Windows or something else, there's really no barrier to installing it and getting started.

Cons

That said it could be much more user friendly since a lot of people aren't very tech-savvy. Users of all ages rely on it especially from their smartphones so the functions and features should be simpler and quicker to access.

fewer issues than the rest

Pros

Compared with other online meeting platforms I've used, this has been much more user friendly for everyone involved. I usually run into technical problems on other services and while this platform hasn't been completely problem-free, any issues I've had were quick to fix and never turned into a big trouble.

Cons

To really get the most out of everything it offers, you need to pay for the professional version.

love it!

Pros

From basic meetings to admin-level controls, it has been excellent across the board! It's simple enough that even my 70 year old mother could join and host a meeting without trouble yet it still includes enough depth for things like detailed permissions, auditing, reporting and plenty of other useful tools. Hosting meetings: 10/10, User management: 10/10, Feature set: 10/10, Customer service: 7/10 but definitely call if you need help.

Cons

One thing that gets frustrating from an IT operations standpoint is the lack of a strong built-in way to export meetings from the platform. We only have 21 GB of storage and if we don't pay for extra, we start getting emails saying we've exceeded the limit. Also each user is responsible for managing their own stored data so over time it turns into a dumping ground. Customer support is about what you'd expect unless you actually reach someone by phone. Email-based support on the other hand, is about as enjoyable as a root canal.

virtual business lifeline

Pros

Running a Mary Kay Beauty business during Covid meant shifting everything online and this has been a huge part of keeping things going. I've been able to send samples to customers and then walk them through a skincare routine virtually which has made a big difference. At my job, it has also helped us handle interviews online when candidates felt more comfortable meeting remotely. On top of that it created more opportunities for remote roles and made it possible to interview and hire people from anywhere in the world.

Cons

I haven't run into any real downsides yet. Sure I'd always rather have it be completely free but I understand the platform needs to make money too. I do appreciate that there's still a free version available even if it comes with time limits.

changed teaching in covid

Pros

During the peak of Covid, this software completely changed how teaching could continue. It made it possible to keep reaching students who were quarantined or unable to come into the school building. At the height of the lockdowns, it became the number one tool in our district, giving educators a way to keep teaching while letting students still see their teacher and interact with them in real time.

Cons

A drawback is that when the presenter is sharing their screen, they can't see the other participants at the same time.

excellent recording and call quality

Pros

After trying a lot of video meeting platforms, I keep returning to this one. It's still the most user friendly option I've used and the audio and video quality are better than the rest. My favorite part is being able to record meetings and then choose whether to download just the audio or both the audio and video. Adding it into my business was smooth and since it's so simple to use, I've never run into issues when showing new users how it works.

Cons

I can't think of anything I dislike about it.
