Key Takeaways

Generated from the text of customer reviews

Jobber is a field service management platform used by business owners and field teams in the trades and home service industries. Users highlight its ease of use and the time savings it delivers in scheduling and invoicing workflows. However, customer support responsiveness is a recurring concern. Recently, Jobber introduced client-level files and a library, which consolidates photos and documents from jobs and forms into a single view for easier access.

Our Verdict

Jobber is a dependable choice for small to medium-sized field service businesses transitioning away from fragmented tools. It works best for trade and home service operations with active crews and high job volumes, where efficient scheduling and fast invoice turnaround directly impact cash flow. Pricing is generally reasonable for growing teams, though it may feel expensive for solo operators or very small businesses.

Jobber Software Use Cases

Based on our analysis of user reviews and Jobber’s current capabilities, we’ve identified several common scenarios where the software is a strong fit:

Roofing Contractors Managing Crew Coordination And Post-Job Payments

Jobber is well-suited for this environment because job details move seamlessly from quoting to invoicing without manual re-entry, while the mobile app gives crews on-site access to specifications, checklists, and job notes. Its integration with tools like EagleView also supports aerial measurements for more accurate estimates, reducing the need for on-site visits and cutting down pre-job administrative work.

Pest Control Businesses Running High-Volume Recurring Service Routes

Pest control companies often manage a high volume of daily appointments across wide service areas, where scheduling efficiency directly impacts productivity. Jobber supports this model with a drag-and-drop calendar and routing tools that help optimize daily schedules. Digital job forms can be used to record chemical usage for compliance, while automated payment collection simplifies recurring billing by charging saved payment methods after each visit, reducing manual follow-ups.

Remodeling Contractors Coordinating Multi-Phase Residential Projects

Remodeling projects involve long timelines, multiple site visits, and ongoing client communication around scope changes and progress updates. Without a centralized system, project details can become fragmented across tools and messages. Jobber helps consolidate this information by allowing contractors to attach plans and documents directly to jobs, track labor and material costs, and send automated client updates via text or email.

General Contractors Dispatching Multiple Crews Across Concurrent Sites

General contractors managing several crews across different job sites need strong coordination to keep operations running smoothly. Jobber supports this through centralized scheduling, GPS-based job tracking, and mobile job forms for capturing field data and compliance checklists.

Smooth customer management

Pros

What I like is that it offers a great customer management system that makes it simple to book jobs online and really smooths out the booking workflow for businesses that provide services.

Cons

As a web developer I appreciate that their lead capture form can be embedded but in practice the form is extremely long and ends up wrecking any page layout I try to drop it into. Splitting it into multiple steps or pages would make a huge difference and fix the design issues.

Limited features...

Pros

I recently canceled two subscriptions with this service and I find it an average piece of software. HouseCall Pro is far superior in my experience. This company held me hostage for $8,250 for seven days, claiming it was my first transaction. With HouseCall Pro I had my funds the next day, even on their first transaction. I lost business because of this delay and I won't use them again. I'm switching back to HouseCall Pro

Cons

I would rather pay more for better service so I'm going back to HouseCall Pro, they have decent pricing, let you load pictures and notify you when paid.

organized and evolving platform

Pros

For my business, this tool helps me stay organized and prevents me from letting payments or client messages slip through the cracks. What I appreciate most is how it's constantly evolving, new features are regularly added to simplify tasks and boost efficiency. Truly, I can't imagine running my operation without it.

Cons

Honestly I wish integrating CallRail for inbound calls had been simpler, aside from that, the built-in features have been fantastic and keep getting better. Overall everything native works really well and the ongoing improvements are noticeable.
