Helpful support and tools

Pros

It felt very natural thanks to the simple features and setting up email sequences was simple. The customer support has been outstanding too, any time I had a question, they walked me through everything patiently and never made me feel awkward for asking. I've also gotten a lot of value from their blog content especially the informative articles about sales.

Cons

My only significant complaint is that Tasks can't be sorted by timezone. That would be really useful especially when I get to the office early and want to focus on a task list specifically for the East Coast.

Affordable for startups

Pros

Getting this up and running was very easy and required only a small amount of customization. The pricing and setup costs are also quite low which makes it a really good fit for early-stage startups.

Cons

The interface and overall user experience can feel dull and not especially simple. It's also often hard to search for more detailed information and quickly reach the specific contacts you need.

Conference follow-ups made easy

Pros

What really works here is how simply everything ties together. Our team used to go to conferences, meet plenty of people and then once everyone got back home, those contacts usually went nowhere. Now we upload new contacts each day while still at the event and as soon as the team returns, follow-up emails are already ready to go out immediately.

Cons

Getting everything implemented takes a bit of work upfront but once the databases are set up, the ongoing effort becomes much lighter.

Organized customer data

Pros

Keeping customer information manageable is one of the best parts of using it. It also lets us create contact cards and personalize them with notes which helps keep details organized and useful.

Cons

We've run into problems when trying to integrate it with Office 365. Internal emails sometimes get flagged as spoofed and end up in quarantine.

Dashboards and tracking

Pros

About two years ago, our company brought it in to manage a growing list of clients and leads all in one place and it has done that really well. We can assign contacts to different members of the sales team, build custom properties, connect it with other key software and apps and most importantly track progress directly inside the platform. The dashboards and reporting tools are a big plus and the Google Calendar integration with direct scheduling is especially useful. The file manager is also a nice feature since it lets us keep all of our files and images stored in one spot.

Cons

The biggest downside is the cost. The CRM may be free at first but once you need additional templates, more contacts and other premium features, the pricing can rise very quickly. On top of that, you also have to pay per user which makes it even more expensive as your team grows.

Marketing hub benefits

Pros

One thing that really adds value is the social media integration, along with audience segmentation and detailed analytics reports. I rely heavily on the marketing hub for inbound marketing and it works really well for that purpose. The free certifications and learning toolkit are also a fantastic bonus.

Cons

Pricing feels a little high and I believe there's still room to expand the feature set especially when it comes to Salesforce integration. There may already be a way to handle this that I haven't discovered yet but I'm open to learning more.

Free and feature-packed

Pros

Since it's free, it has cut our overheads quite a bit. It also comes loaded with pretty much everything we need to run the business and having staff able to access it from anywhere has been a huge advantage.

Cons

It's not quite as powerful as some of the other CRMs on the market and the integration options aren't as strong as what certain competitors offer. Still, those are fairly minor drawbacks.

Flexible setup and customization

Pros

Getting started with it was easy and it didn't take long to feel comfortable using it. Setting everything up and adding the necessary data was simple and I was also able to customize each section to fit what I needed.

Cons

One thing I've struggled with is separating client information into different sections although that may partly be because I'm still new to the system. For example, when exporting contacts, I'd like a clearer way to split active lists from leads.

All data in one place

Pros

Having the CRM as one simple, all-in-one place for customer data has been really valuable. It lets you automate and personalize emails, build deals to follow the sales cycle and revenue and set reminders so you know exactly when to reach out next. When everyone sticks to the process, it gives the whole team excellent visibility and transparency.

Cons

Sometimes the CRM can be a bit overwhelming. With a larger team, it's really important that everyone uses the platform the same way because if someone forgets to log a task, multiple people can end up contacting the same person. That creates confusion and frustration for customers and prospects.

Sales workflow hub

Pros

Working at a digital marketing agency focused on search marketing for SMBs, I got to see firsthand how capable this platform is. It handled sales workflow management really well, offered strong task automation and even lets you build out a full customer repository.

Cons

Because the software is so powerful and feature-rich, people coming in without prior experience will definitely need some training before they can use it comfortably. There's a learning curve at the beginning but once you understand the commands and features, everything runs very efficiently.

Predatory pricing and poor support

Pros

It comes packed with features and is fairly easy to use.

Cons

Customer service is terrible. They seem determined to squeeze every possible dollar out of you. Platforms like Zoho and ActiveCampaign offer the same features and support for a fraction of the cost, around 10% of the price. You also don't get a dedicated account rep so when something goes wrong, you get passed from one department to another until you're too exhausted to keep pushing for a solution. Midway through your contract, they may even try to double your subscription price. That isn't made clear when you sign up but they appear to constantly review accounts for opportunities to raise your costs during the contract term. The fine print basically gives them the ability to increase pricing whenever they want and based on my experience, they absolutely will.

All-in-one marketing hub

Pros

Right from the start, the biggest win for me has been how simple it is to use. The interface is clean, simple and very beginner-friendly so getting around it doesn't take much effort at all. The features are neatly arranged across the top of the page which makes everything easy to reach without the clutter that usually ruins the user experience. Creating forms for capturing leads from websites is also quite easy and the available templates are great. You just choose the type of form you need, whether it's a pop-up or a regular form and then customize it however you want. Another thing that makes it really convenient is having all communication channels brought into one inbox. Emails, form replies, Facebook Messenger chats and even bots for qualifying leads can all be handled in one place. It also makes the entire funnel much more efficient since you can manage nearly everything in a single platform, from lead generation all the way to closing a sale. For instance, you can build landing pages, collect leads, import contact lists, send marketing emails and schedule meetings without having to jump between different tools. On top of that, being able to manage ad campaigns for Facebook, Google, Instagram and LinkedIn is a huge plus. Integration with WordPress, Zapier, Crisp and Gmail is also very convenient.

Cons

Honestly, there's very little to criticize. If anything, I'd just like to see more integrations with widely used software, apps and CMS platforms beyond WordPress. It would be much better to have plugin-based support for systems like ProcessWire and MODX instead of having to add code manually.

World-class platform

Pros

This platform feels world class. It's a true jack of all trades in the best possible way and it actually delivers across each of its individual capabilities.

Cons

Integration isn't always easy and there are times when a bit more flexibility would help especially compared with what Salesforce has evolved into.

Costly contract trap

Pros

Honestly, there's nothing worthwhile here. It ended up being a complete waste of money.

Cons

Price is far too high and buying it turned out to be a big mistake. My marketing company talked me into signing up and I really regret not doing more research beforehand. Once you're in, they lock you into a one-year contract with no way to cancel early. If a marketing company is pushing this on you, be very cautious. They make a strong commission from the sale, in my case, my marketing team got about $1,000 just for getting me to sign. It was clear they were looking out for their own payout, not my best interests.

Powerful but cluttered

Pros

Packed with a lot of features, this software is highly customizable and can be genuinely useful for tracking and managing things across a very large company.

Cons

It really isn't a good fit for small businesses. The pricing is extremely high and it's far from simple to use, with the interface getting cluttered very quickly.

Everything in one place

Pros

Having contacts, companies, follow-ups, emails, task logging, calls and to-dos all in one place really helps keep everything organized. It saves time and makes day-to-day work much easier to manage. Another big plus is their support and customer service team which is always available and ready to assist whenever needed.

Cons

There were times when it would freeze although not very often. I also had an issue one day when I lost all my login details and when I reached out through chat, the team member said they couldn't help me until I contacted our company's IT administrator.

Great for our website

Pros

Right from the start, this has been super user-friendly and simple to work with. It integrated perfectly with our website and delivers exactly what we need. On top of that, reaching support is easy and they really know their stuff when it comes to setup, training and troubleshooting, pretty much anything you need help with. Since we're just getting started with a CRM, the free version has been absolutely perfect for us. I'd definitely recommend trying it out.

Cons

At this point, I really haven't come across anything I dislike about the software. I can't say I expect to run into any major issues either although you never really know.

Good prospecting with limited outreach

Pros

Tracking down email addresses and detailed information about the companies we want to target is much more manageable with this tool which makes prospecting more enjoyable. It also helps that you can add multiple team members so collaborating across the team is possible.

Cons

While it's definitely useful for finding prospects, not being able to send emails to all of them at once is frustrating and ends up making the process more time-consuming than it should be.

Marketing toolkit

Pros

Great tool... There's a lot packed into this tool and it can handle a wide range of marketing and sales activities for a business. It's clearly powerful but the downside is that it feels complicated to use and I'm usually not able to get exactly what I need from it.

Cons

The interface looks modern and polished but it's not very simple once you start using it. I often struggle to locate what I need and the CRM features are especially hard to work with.
