LigoLab Features
LigoLab provides a centralized order entry module that supports reflex testing across departments. The platform automatically generates and prints unique barcodes for every specimen and document. It includes built-in duplicate patient profile detection and validation, ensuring each order is recorded accurately and consistently within the lab’s workflow system.
The platform provides live validation at order creation, including patient eligibility checking and insurance discovery, reducing denials and lost revenue. LigoLab verifies patient addresses using Whitepages and USPS validation and allows client-specific rules on any order entry field, ensuring data accuracy. This approach minimizes errors and maintains consistency across all lab orders.
LigoLab eliminates handwriting errors and lost specimens by tracking every sample with a unique identifier. The software monitors parent-child relationships and workflow stages, including accessioning, processing, staining, case assembly, reporting, and archival. It supports 1D and 2D barcodes and RFID tagging, improving turnaround times, specimen traceability, and workflow efficiency for all laboratory operations.
The software maintains a robust audit trail across all entities, including orders, cases, reports, and clients. LigoLab tracks changes by timestamp, user, transaction type, and old and new values. Term-based versioning ensures historical data, such as reference ranges and AOE questions, remain accurate, supporting compliance and providing transparency throughout laboratory processes.
The platform consolidates report building, templating, and delivery into one system with pixel-level accuracy. LigoLab produces well-organized, integrated reports and delivers them according to client preferences through provider portals, EHRs, secure email, fax, SMS, IVR, in-house printing, or remote print servers, increasing operational efficiency and enhancing the lab’s professional presentation.
