“Easy but not flexible
Pros
Yeah it's easy to use. Everyone on my team gets it, admins and employees alike. No one gets confused.
Cons
It works best if your company fits their standard mold and there's not much room for customization. We've hit roadblocks mainly with benefits administration and generating reports for our payroll partners. Support is fantastic for everyday questions they probably get all the time. But when you discover a deeper system issue that needs developer attention, things slow way down. Sometimes it feels like they're dodging the real problem and don't want to invest time in meetings to hash things out. Getting actual phone or face-to-face contact is nearly impossible and there doesn't seem to be any manager you can escalate to.

“Great help, weak benefits
Pros
Customer service is absolutely outstanding, I can reach a real person quickly whenever I need help and they really know their stuff. The HR community and webinars that come with it are also great resources.
Cons
only thing that's given us trouble is the benefits administration feature. We use Ease right now and just transfer everything over for payroll processing. I'm not really convinced the updates they've made are any better than what we already have with Ease and from what I hear, the carrier connection options are pretty limited.

“simple and helpful
Pros
the interface is very easy to figure out. It just makes sense. It's streamlined our whole HR process from hiring new people to doing reviews and getting feedback. Finding your way around feels natural, so my whole team got comfortable with it really fast. I'd totally recommend this to any company that wants something easy to use that actually works.
Cons
Language in performance review emails feels too casual for our formal workplace environment since it's hard coded into the system.

“Good payroll, big problems
Pros
Yeah, running payroll is pretty simple. It doesn't really give me any trouble.
Cons
I don't like how different support agents give varying answers, though they're all really nice people. The lack of multi-state employee support is frustrating and pretty much every other HRIs system handles this better. Setting up standards and policy rules is way too complicated and I think the platform is lagging behind in this area.

“fun and easy tool
Pros
The personality really shines through with fun email notifications and little touches that make HR tasks feel less corporate. Its very easy to use, I'm still discovering new features but everything feels natural to use. The transition from our old system was surprisingly smooth, which was a huge relief. I use it for timesheets, time-off requests, document uploads and love being able to search the employee directory to find colleagues I haven't met yet. Personal information updates are now just a simple click instead of the complicated process we had before. The mobile app is super convenient for checking things when I'm away from my desk. Two-factor authentication gives me confidence about security and the whole platform feels personalized rather than generic.
Cons
I really can't think of anything that hasn't been helpful honestly, my main thought was "wow, why didn't we make this switch earlier?!" It's been that good.

“Great solution but limited
Pros
Employee website is great. It's easy to request time off and update your information. This saves everyone time because employees can handle their own tasks without asking for help. Also the support team is very helpful if you need them.
Cons
Customization options for some reports and workflows are restrictive. Integration with other systems can be tricky and doesn't always go smoothly. Plus, the analytics capabilities are somewhat basic and I often find myself needing extra tools or having to work around limitations manually.

“User friendly and time saving
Pros
It is incredibly easy for anyone to pick up and use. It really streamlines all our HR workflows and saves tons of time since we can handle everything digitally instead of dealing with paperwork. The electronic advertising and hiring features with applicant tracking make recruitment easy. Onboarding and off-boarding processes work perfectly and managing time-off requests and leave has never been simpler.
Cons
The main downside is that support is only available during Us business hours, which creates delays when you need help from New Zealand. Also we couldn't integrate it with our payroll system.

“Handles everything i need
Pros
BambooHR handles benefits administration, goal setting, performance reviews, payroll and time tracking really well. As an HR professional, I appreciate how many features are packed into one platform and it covers pretty much everything I need on a daily basis. The support team is fantastic too; they're friendly, responsive and actually listen to feedback to make improvements. It's made my job significantly easier having all these tools in one place.
Cons
I haven't found anything to complain about so far. More integration with benefits would make things even smoother but they've mentioned that's already in the works and progressing well.

“simple setup, costly contractor gap
Pros
setting this up was very easy and both admins and regular users find it simple to use. The support team responds quickly and they're genuinely helpful when you need assistance. There's plenty of training materials available that are easy to locate, whether you're managing the system or just using it day-to-day. Performance reviews and management tasks flow smoothly for everyone involved.
Cons
The biggest issue for us is not being able to add contracted employees without paying full price. We're a small company with 4 contractors who don't need features like time-off requests or payroll, so it doesn't make financial sense to pay for their accounts. Since there's no free contractor option, they don't appear in the company directory and we have to maintain a separate one. I also wish the Who's out calendar could integrate with our existing calendar rather than adding another one to Outlook. It would be helpful if calendar entries showed notes from time-off requests or allowed us to add notes that don't disappear when it refreshes. Currently, if someone takes a half day, there's no way to indicate whether they're out in the morning or afternoon. The asset tracking is frustrating too. I'd prefer having one central location to add assets and assign them from there, instead of having to recreate the same equipment every time it gets reassigned to a different person.

“The standout hr platform
Pros
I've tried tons of HR management platforms at different companies and this one definitely stands out as the top choice. The features are comprehensive and the interface is so straightforward and user-friendly that it beats everything else I've worked with.
Cons
Actually, I can't really think of any major downsides. The interface and all the features work pretty well for handling my time off requests, permissions and other important stuff I need to manage.

“My daily central solution
Pros
Having everything centralized is fantastic, documents, employee info and signature requests all in one spot. The notifications really help keep me on track with profile updates and deadlines. I'm in this system almost daily for filing paperwork or pulling up information which shows how essential it's become to my workflow.
Cons
sometimes there's a lag when sending docs to employees for signatures or getting them back, which can be frustrating.

I can handle just about all my HR tasks from this one platform. Running payroll, managing benefits and deductions, setting up time-off schedules and tracking project hour, it's all there. Our office saves literal hours on payroll alone. We're using it daily now and while the integration took some time, it went as smoothly as possible.
Cons
Customer service sometimes takes time to research answers when they're not immediately familiar with certain features, which means waiting for them to get back to you.
