“Easy but missing one thing

super intuitive and includes nearly everything I need from an HRIs platform.

I would love to see an employee scheduling feature added alongside the existing timesheet functionality.

It brings together all the tools and information required for my human resources and payroll work.

One challenge we've found is that it doesn't link up with some of the other software programs we use every day. This means we sometimes have to enter the same information twice, which takes extra time and can lead to errors.

The accuracy isn't quite there and it doesn't work well for international markets.

Pros

It has been useful for maintaining confidentiality of contracts and personal data. Since we operate across multiple locations, having everything centralized in one place eliminates the need to transport documents between campuses or send sensitive info via email. It's created a self-service hub where employees can access forms and benefit information on their own, which frees up our HR team to focus on strategic initiatives rather than constantly fielding routine questions.

Cons

No real complaints from me, everything has been smooth sailing and actually makes my work life simpler!

“My team loves using it

Pros

The features are incredible and how simple they are for our team makes every dollar worthwhile. Taking time off requests, sharing on the employee community, updating records, viewing the time off calendar, browsing the directory and handling document signing/storage barely scratches the surface. Our staff loves using the system and we're all on it constantly!

Cons

There honestly isn't much I can complain about with this platform.

single sign-on feature makes logging in easy and I really appreciate how user-friendly the interface is. Having a mobile app is super convenient and the implementation process went smoothly without any major hiccups.

support feels impersonal since you get routed to a call center instead of having your own dedicated representative.

to be honest this tool does a great job displaying our company's structure at every level making it easy to see job titles, managers and reporting lines. This is especially helpful when you are new and trying to understand how everything fits together.

It is a bit restrictive in terms of what we can view.

Everything is smoothly combined into one system from onboarding to performance reviews, offboarding, hiring and reporting are all accessible in a single place which I like the most.

At first it was customized to the US market and some features just did not align with our needs. Also some important elements for our market were missing but now it's all sorted.

It's a simple, easy-to-use tool with excellent data organization. The hiring and onboarding features are standouts for streamlining those processes.

The simplicity comes with a downside: limited flexibility. You must often adapt to the system's rigid setup, which can force you into a specific task flow that isn't always ideal.

“Keeps all HR info together

Pros

BambooHR keeps all employee HR information in one convenient location. The system also provides flexible access levels for trainers, supervisors, managers and IT support.

Cons

We had to create a custom section for employee notes. It works fine but I am not sure why this feature is not included in the software by default. I mean it is essentially just a simple table with a notes field. And I hope they do not keep adding features a la carte just to raise the price and make more money off loyal customers.

“Easy to use even without training

Pros

The platform is pretty simple to use. I had no prior experience with this tool before joining my current company but even without formal training, I found my way around all its features easily. I have even set up benefits programs, created rules, enrolled employees and generated reports without any difficulty.

Cons

While it might not be as visually appealing as some other systems, I must say the functionality is much better and easier to navigate compared to other alternatives.

it is very simple and user-friendly, with processes that are very easy to follow.

one thing I noticed is that it takes some time to configure everything and set up user roles properly.

this software is very easy to use and simple to get started with which I like the most. Also sending documents for signatures, posting job openings and other tasks are simple to handle.

Adding payroll features is extremely costly. I'd love to move more of our business over to this platform but I just cannot justify the implementation fee.

It's really simple to use, which is great. It's the perfect lightweight platform for a small business that just needs the basic HR essentials

To be honest I do not have any issues with the software at all.

As an HR professional, BambooHR makes my job easier with its intuitive platform. It handles employee databases, time-off management and automated approval workflows smoothly and efficiently.

Cons

The mobile app feels a bit different and it does not have all the features we were expecting. So I would not recommend it for recruitment purposes.
