“My complete people management hub

I really appreciate having all my HR processes consolidated - from bringing new people on board through their entire employment lifecycle until they eventually leave the company.

Cons

Can't target training assignments to individual team members which is frustrating when you need customized learning paths.

Really easy to use and perfect for storing all our employee data. Support team is always there when you need them and fixes problems fast. It's become part of our daily routine.

Cons

It would really help me if I could backdate entries. Right now, the system doesn't let me do that for some things which can be a problem when I need to record something from a past date.

Pros

The upload system is really smooth and getting photos uploaded is also very easy. I appreciate how they handle company announcements through the platform. The portal itself is pretty easy to use.

Cons

Loading times can be frustratingly slow, especially when trying to save modifications. There's also this annoying issue where dates automatically shift on their own whenever I make amendments to records.

“A welcome replacement

Pros

interface is intuitive and the features are really effective with great layouts. Yes, there's some initial setup work required for certain functions but once you get through that, it streamlines so many daily tasks. After dealing with a bulky large payroll provider, this feels like a breath of fresh air! Whenever I've run into those last-minute payroll hiccups, the support team has always responded quickly and resolved everything and my previous solution would take days to get back to me, if they ever did. I always reccommend it to anyone I know who's still stuck with another provider!

Cons

I find it strange that we're responsible for updating our own tax rates and similar settings. Every other payroll provider I've used handles this automatically, so I really expected that level of service here too.

I'm able to keep tabs on my team's time-off requests and manage everything in one place.

Its good but I'm missing out on some functionality that's available in the web version a feels like I'm getting a watered-down experience.

The employee data is centralized beautifully, integration with our other systems works smoothly and I've had nothing but excellent experiences with their customer support team.

The soft deadlines for performance reviews have made things a bit more complicated for me and affected my overall experience.

One thing that bothers me is it doesn't automatically assign tasks to whoever originally created the packet.

The ATs functionality feels limited compared to other options out there. Customization is really restricted and I've struggled with integrating it with our other tools. If you have complex HR requirements, this might not be the best fit.

Some of the add-on features did not meet my expectations. For instance, the performance management add-on had a rigid interface that only allowed feedback to be sent to the employee's manager, which was limiting.

BambooHR keeps evolving and improving its products and services! Their ATS, time tracking, document management, onboarding/offboarding, reporting and more make my job easier and more efficient.

I wish BambooHR included a messaging feature so that HR would not have to share direct phone numbers with applicants and employees.

I absolutely love the simple format. I use it as my HR brain, which allows me to move away from countless spreadsheets. Everything I need is quickly available at my fingertips and my employees love it too. The app simplifies everything for them, which allows easy access to information and self-service. I am just thrilled with it.

A few features could be more user-friendly for inputting our data. Since we manage a church, we have some unique payroll requirements that are manageable but not as easy as they could be.
