“Great experience BambooHR
Pros
I always pay close attention to my customers' needs and I love how the software helps me in that matter as it comes with fantastic features. It helps me find support documents for nearly everything I need to know. The electronic signatures for HR documents are very handy. The recruitment module works well and the onboarding process is much smoother without the need to print and handwrite each form.
Cons
I found limitations in integrating custom fields and tables into onboard filters such as onboarding, training, presentations and benefits. BambooHR seems to require integration with other accounting services.

“Useful tool but could be improved
Pros
It simplifies all our HR-related processes. Whether it is job information, documents, salary, or various requests, I can access everything with just a few clicks. The same applies to my employer as they have all my information readily available.
Cons
The overall design somewhat dull and I would appreciate having the option to exchange messages with HR and other coworkers.

Pros
BambooHR includes features not found in other software, such as posting and viewing announcements. It's been an excellent tool for our HR team to share updates and benefits information in a convenient, accessible place.
Cons
The People directory is a bit challenging to filter and use. While I can search by name or department, the results do not sort by title. For instance, searching for Customer Success Manager yields no results, which seems unhelpful and not very intuitive when looking for a specific person.

“Nearly perfect but needs scheduling

I really appreciate how comprehensive this platform is for organizing our HR needs. The interface is incredibly user-friendly and interactive, making it simple for everyone on our team to use. The support team has been fantastic throughout setup and whenever we've had questions and they respond quickly with detailed, helpful answers. What impressed me most is how clean and efficient the design is. There's barely any learning curve and we were up and running in no time!
Cons
The scheduling system isn't built-in, which would be really helpful to have integrated. Our org chart setup sometimes causes problems with customizing user access levels internally. I'd really like to see more flexibility in how we can structure the org chart to better differentiate roles. Our team's schedule runs on unusual start/end dates, plus we offer unlimited PTO but pay overtime, so having more customizable payroll options would be fantastic.

Pros
Payroll and HR features work really well for my business needs. Customer service is super helpful whenever I have questions about changes or updates. Uploading employee hours is simple and I can make quick adjustments when needed. Overall I'm really satisfied with how everything functions.
Cons
It would be helpful if there was a notes field in the extra pay section so I could track what each non-taxable reimbursement was for or add GL codes to distinguish between different reimbursements more easily.

“secure but frustrating reports
Pros
I really appreciate how this keeps all our employee records locked down and secure. No more dealing with those bulky filing cabinets everywhere and now our staff can easily check their salary details and benefits whenever they need to. Getting everything set up was surprisingly quick and fast.
Cons
The main issue I have is not being able to get proper report headers. When I run a report for a specific date range, it only shows when I generated the report instead of the actual time period the data covers. Pretty frustrating and seems like something that should be simple to fix.

BambooHR gives employees plenty of self-service options and the management reporting is really comprehensive. I appreciate how it handles employee records and keeps all the information organized in one place.
Cons
Integration with Intuit products and other ERP systems isn't there out of the box, which can be frustrating when your trying to connect everything together.

Pros
What I appreciate most are two key features:The employee self-service portal is fantastic, staff can update their own information, submit time-off requests and check benefits without constantly bugging HR. This really cuts down on administrative work and gives employees control over their data. The automated onboarding and offboarding processes are huge time savers. New hires get customizable checklists, welcome emails and automated task assignments for a smooth start. When someone leaves, automated notifications, task tracking and exit surveys make transitions much more manageable. These features have been real game-changers for our workflow!
Cons
The approval workflows don't offer enough customization for our complex hierarchy and the default settings just aren't flexible enough to handle our unusual approval processes. The vacation accrual system is pretty restrictive especially for countries with unique rules. In Croatia, employees accrue prorated days for the first six months then get the full amount but this tool doesn't support those specific configurations which is a real problem for organizations like ours.

Pros
The interface is incredibly simple whether you're managing things as an admin or just using it day-to-day. It's packed with fantastic features that work perfectly for small to medium-sized businesses.
Cons
scalability really holds it back when your business starts expanding. The modules feel pretty basic and there's not much room to add new features or functionality as your needs grow over there.

It didn't take long at all to learn how to use the system. I felt comfortable with it very quickly and finding my way around the menus and screens feels natural and easy. I never have to stop and wonder where to click next.

“My go to tool for daily tasks
Pros
I find this really easy for handling our everyday HR tasks. We can manage everything HR-related and the leave management system is such a nice bonus and it's simple but really effective for everyone in our organization. The slack integration for leave requests is a huge win too. Whenever we've had issues or questions, the support team has been amazing at getting back to us quickly and sorting things out.
Cons
main annoyance is how the 2FA timeout works. Since we're logging in several times throughout the day, getting kicked out after about 20 minutes means having to go through the whole 2FA process again each time. Would be much better if it only required one 2FA verification per day instead of every single login.
