Pros
We found the backend/admin interface really easy to use and it did not take much training to start using the program effectively.
Cons
In the end we realized the software was not as full-featured or as easy for our team to use as our current system so we decided to stick with what we had.

Everything we need is in one place. Also it is a great tool for both HR and employees giving us access to holidays, reviews, VTO, company info and more.
Cons
It is not always the most user-friendly as sometimes it takes a moment to find what we need and the dropdown menus can be slow. Still overall it works well.

I have been using BambooHR for a while now and it's been a total game-changer for our company of 130 employees. Right from the start it's proven to be an intuitive, reliable and well-designed HR solution that covers everything we need. It truly deserves all the praise it gets. The customer support is exceptional. Whenever I have had a question whether it's setting up something new or solving a small issue the team has responded quickly and been pretty helpful. They do not just send you to a help article and leave it at that they make sure everything is taken care of. For a small business without an IT department, this level of support is a lifesaver and really smooths out the experience. One of the things that impressed me about it is how easy it is to use. The interface is clean, user friendly and everything is logically organized, so you never waste time looking for features. I was able to jump right in and start managing employee records, time-off requests and reports in no time. Even colleagues who are not tech-savvy had no trouble getting the hang of it which is a big win for a small team where every minute counts. It does not just provide you with a tool and leave you to figure it out as they offer excellent training sessions and webinars. I have joined several and each one has been packed with useful tips and insights. From mastering new features to learning HR best practices, these resources have helped me make the most out of the platform. It's like having a personal tutor which has been a game-changer. The clean design and thoughtful touches like clear icons and an easy to navigate dashboard which really enhance the experience. These small details add up especially when you are using the platform regularly for HR tasks. For small and medium-sized businesses like ours, it strikes the perfect balance. It offers all the essential HR functions be it employee data management, onboarding, time-off tracking and reporting without overwhelming us with unnecessary extras. Overall it is powerful but simple which is exactly what a growing business needs to stay organized and efficient.
Cons
What I liked least about it was the limited advanced features for bigger teams, costs that can stack up, gaps when integrating with niche tools and customization that could be stronger like syncing with assessment platforms or learning sites such as Udemy/Coursera. AI integration would be a welcome future addition too.

Pros
One thing I really like is the powerful analytics and data visualization tools. The reporting feature is definitely one of the best aspects of BambooHR.
Cons
It is quite expensive, particularly for larger teams. Also compared to other systems I have used, the interface feels a bit old-fashioned and almost too basic.

It is perfect for all aspects of employee management from performance reviews to sharing essential data and more.
Cons
Occasionally when I am in the Hiring section, resumes or cover letters won't open in Chrome. When that happens I switch to Microsoft Edge though I later found out that sometimes just refreshing the browser in Chrome fixes it.

“Easy employee time logging but limited temp staff tracking
Pros
My employees found it pretty easy to access and log their hours. I liked that there was an app for them to use and it even showed where they clocked in and out which helped us catch a few employees who were late.
Cons
We hire a lot of temporary staff at our location and I really wish there was a better way to track their hours within the software.

This software is one of the most popular HR systems out there and it includes everything from applicant tracking to payroll. A really standout feature is the geolocation tracking which helps verify that work reports are coming from the correct job sites. It has powerful reporting tools and is especially strong with U.S. payroll. Since most HR professionals are already familiar with it so getting new teams up to speed is quick and easy. Plus the mobile app is reliable as it lets employees clock in and out right from their phones and automatically calculates overtime which is a huge time-saver.
Cons
It is not ideal if you need to hire international contractors. The automated clock-in with attendance reports for tracking late arrivals is useful and I'd like to see more automation features. It does not include built-in tools for sourcing candidates or marketing automation.
