AppsAnywhere software allows administrators to configure and rank multiple distinct delivery methods for every software application. The platform then automatically decides the most suitable way to launch the software by checking contextual factors, such as the computer's operating system, device type, and current geographical location.

The platform provides an intrinsic personal tool for students to mark and retain their frequently used applications within a saved, easily accessible personal list. This list remains connected to the individual's profile, accessible from any machine where they log into the portal. Students control this list by clicking the designated star icon on the application’s visual tile.

This feature sets the main display style for the application catalog, presenting all software titles in a visual arrangement like an online app store grid. The view can be changed to different visual options, such as a simple grid view, a larger grid view (which shows application details), or a list view. The chosen display preference is saved in the person's profile, providing a consistent appearance every time the portal is accessed.

This control system inspects a computer's power before application delivery is allowed. It gives the IT team the ability to limit delivery methods by detecting the connecting machine’s specifications, including RAM and dedicated GPU capabilities. This inspection allows resource-heavy applications to run directly on powerful machines while offering an automatic remote alternative for less capable devices.

AppsAnywhere allows IT staff to create and implement custom categories to organize the entire collection of software. These groupings are usually organized by school structures, such as a specific course of study or an academic faculty. The categories can also be added to the portal's main display.
