What is Dock?

Overview

Dock is an all-in-one workflow management and collaboration solution designed for healthcare teams. The HIPAA-compliant platform allows medical organizations to manage their day-to-day tasks and facilitate collaboration among physicians. It offers tons of useful features, including @mentions, access permissions, import/export, automated reminders, and database administration. Supervisors can leverage the system to create new tasks with details such as patient name, due date, assigned physicians, custom labels, and priority status.

The cloud-based application offers mobile apps for both iOS and Android devices, enabling professionals to invite multiple colleagues and create to-do lists for improved collaboration on tasks. Subscribers can easily add comments on assigned tasks, receive automated reminders, and attach media files. The program’s activity dashboard enables organizations to track the real-time status of tasks, monitor team performance, and categorize to-do lists into folders using the drag-and-drop functionality.

Furthermore, the management system supports integration with various third-party applications available on the market. Medical practices can rely on the software to streamline daily operational processes and secure confidential practice information through its single sign-on (SSO) capabilities.

Pros

The integration of this HIPAA-compliant task management system with the EHR (Electronic Health Record) system, such as IntakeQ, was highly appreciated. It simplifies tracking patient onboarding processes, insurance referrals, pre-authorization requests, and other related tasks.

Cons

Despite starting with Dock in August 2022, as of December 29, 2022, there was still no usable Smartflow for onboarding new patients. The self-help support page lacks sufficient instructions or walk-throughs for setting up Smartflows, leading to challenges in configuring them. While regular workflows functioned properly, setting up Smartflows proved to be excessively challenging, resulting in an inability to automate tasks for a smooth onboarding process.

Pros

Setting up workflows is straightforward with this system, which offers numerous features for organizing lists. Additionally, the customer service provided is excellent.

Cons

Although setting up workflows is straightforward, configuring Smartflows after upgrading was not as intuitive. The lack of tutorials or online support resources for guidance and frequently asked questions is noted, although the support team is responsive when assistance is requested.
