You can easily move, resize, and change the color of these digital notes. Users can drag and drop sticky notes into their notebooks to create a well-organized and accessible space for their thoughts and ideas.
OneNote Notebooks
The OneNote notebook is the primary place for all your note storage needs. As a virtual binder, the notebook feature allows users to categorize their notes into different sections and pages. Here, you can create multiple notebooks, each dedicated to a specific topic, subject, or project.
In-Depth Search Capabilities
This feature sifts through your notebooks to find all kinds of media, including handwritten notes, typed text, images, and even audio. The software's unique OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technology moves beyond simple keyword matching and allows users to scan even visual content for text within images or scanned documents.
Mix Media Management
With this feature, OneNote lets users create a rich multimedia experience by inserting all kinds of media directly into their notes, including images, drawings, audio recordings, videos, and files. This feature is particularly beneficial for those looking to enhance their note-taking experience and convey their ideas more comprehensively.

“flexible notes and strong search function”
Pros
One thing I really appreciate is how well the search works especially when I need to find something I wrote months earlier. I usually take notes on my computer, then check them on my phone or another device without any trouble. It also gives me a lot of freedom to organize everything the way I want which makes it feel very flexible.
Cons
Interface can feel a bit cluttered at times especially when I'm dealing with a large number of notebooks and sections. There have also been moments when syncing took longer than I expected.

“Great for notes on the go”
Pros
Right from the start, the app feels simple to use and the layout stays clean and uncluttered. It works really well for quickly jotting down notes, keeping thoughts organized and syncing everything across devices. It's especially handy for capturing ideas whenever they come up while I'm on the go.
Cons
One thing that can be confusing is the noticeable UX inconsistency between the 2016 version and the newer releases. Depending on which platform I'm using some features also feel split up, inconsistent or missing altogether.

“class notebook is a lifesaver”
Pros
For a subject like Law, where rules and regulations change all the time, the biggest advantage is definitely Class Notebook. It lets you share updated materials with the whole class instantly. You can set up a read-only Content Library and upload lecture notes, commented court decisions or the latest case studies and students will find everything automatically on their devices. It really cuts out the hassle of dealing with photocopies that get lost or email attachments that end up forgotten in random folders.
Cons
Biggest downside is how complicated the initial setup can be, both for you and for the students. If the class is not already familiar with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem, the first phase can be pretty frustrating. Setting notebook permissions, handling file sync across PCs, tablets and phones and teaching students how to organize the sections in their personal notebook all takes time. At the beginning, there is a real chance that part of the lesson gets eaten up by access issues or "sync pending" problems instead of focusing on the Law curriculum.
