From employees perspective it is easy to use, and the reports are well designed.

Cons

It would be great if employees could log in remotely using their smartphones. I think this option is available but it might cost more than what we are willing to spend.

It is simple, straightforward and there are no subscription fees.

Cons

The networking addition requires ongoing attention due to random server updates from Microsoft. Occasionally, there are minor issues on users computers but they're easy to fix and the support is excellent. Still, it is something the admin has to handle.

We have encountered some connectivity issues but they were all easily resolved. I do wish this service could be exported to integrate with my ADP pay services.

This software is cost effective and fairly simple to use.

We have never been able to get the software to sync with QuickBooks. Initially I spent time with customer support trying to resolve the issue, but we couldn't fix it. Our accounts manager also attempted to resolve the issue but was unsuccessful. While it correctly adds some employees time, it fails to transfer hours correctly for others. We currently use the software solely for employees to clock in and out and then the accounts manager manually enters the hours into QuickBooks which takes a lot of time. And after so many tries, we eventually gave up.

My top priority would be a mobile application that works with Apple products like iPads and iPhones. In fact we're exploring other solutions that would better suit our needs.

Setting it up was not an hassle. We had it operational in under 15 minutes. The user interface is easy to learn and intuitive. The documentation is excellent and up-to-date, making it simple to find answers to any questions. The software is fully featured, and we haven't found any major missing features. It's fully on-premise, not cloud-based, which suited our needs due to poor internet connectivity. The reporting is clear and straightforward. It's a one-time purchase, and the customer support is excellent, based in the US.

We felt the time off functionality could have been expanded to allow for slightly more flexibility in entering and tracking accrued employee vacation.

“Easy to Use, Affordable, Cheap to Implement, a Simple Timeclock Solution

We have the option to sign in with a simple or complex pin or username/password. For our company a simple pin is sufficient for signing in and out. Running reports to review hours is not a problem at all. We implemented it using an affordable 10" tablet from Amazon and with a wall mounted case, it looks professional. Including the software which is a one-time purchase, we spent less than $500 on a timeclock that can track as many or as few employees as needed.

Cons

I wish it had the option to send reports via email on a bi-weekly basis. Signing in and out and switching to administrative mode can be cumbersome with a touchscreen tablet. It would be nice to have the hours sent directly to our HR for review. However, if we get frustrated we can contact Redcort and upgrade to a networked edition for remote sign-in and management. I also wish the timeclock screen had a more visually appealing design, but simplicity is often better.

My only "wish" is for the software to display the DAILY elapsed time on the home screen. It would help me manage if an employee is approaching their 8 hour limit for the day. Currently, it only shows the elapsed time of their shift segment and restarts once they clock out and back in after lunch.

Tracking employee timesheets is not a problem now and I particularly like the rounding function. We round to the nearest quarter hour, and it proves to be highly effective.

I would like to have the ability to add a 'note' to the timesheet without having to do it while clocking in or out.

I am impressed by how easy it is to make time corrections using the entry editor. The passcode interface adds a personal touch for the employees. Additionally the administration mode provides a quick overview of whether a user is clocked in, etc. The software is incredibly user-friendly, and the support is excellent.

I would like the software to be able to integrate with Sage 50.
