What is Dovetail EHR?
Dovetail is a cloud-based Electronic Health Record (EHR) and practice management system created by dentists for dentists. Dovetail arose from the frustration of a single periodontist who simply desired to reclaim his life.
The software is already assisting dentists worldwide in better managing their practices. The program offers dental professionals simple software solutions to help them manage their practices while providing the best possible care to their patients.
The Dovetail EHR platform is not dependent on a particular computer or device. You just need a computer running Windows or OS X or an iPad with an Internet connection. There is no need to install cables or set up servers.

Dovetail Software Reviews
Dovetail dental software reviews are generally positive, which shows that users are quite satisfied with the product. You can read Dovetail EMR reviews below to gain more insight into the pros and cons.
Our Thoughts
The system is designed for modern dentists who recognize the value of working from anywhere on any device. The cloud-based software allows your practice to function more efficiently and effectively. Pre-designed processes and automated tasks boost your efficiency and free up time for what matters most: your patients. In addition, the software allows you to manage any part of your practice from your computer, tablet, or phone in one simple application.
Dovetail Software Features
Imaging
You can quickly scan X-Rays from any TWAIN-compatible sensor into the patient's file, from panoramic to multiple X-Rays. Furthermore, Dove tails cloud capture eliminates the need for a bridge. With ease, you can drag & drop X-Rays obtained via referrals from your PC into your patient's file.
Charting
Because software is intended for regular dentists and specialists, the odontogram is ergonomically built and elevates patient assessment to a new level. Symbols can be used to draw on and personalize your odontograms. In addition, your perio charging is handled through the same interface.
Progress Notes
Dovetail's intuitive drag-and-drop interface allows you to quickly create customized and shareable templates for the notes you write the most. You can customize the clinical exam by adding, eliminating, or changing the questions, processes, and inputs of an exam, treatment plan, or progress note.

“Decreased User-Friendliness and Technical Issues”
Pros
The software was much easier to use 15 months ago, providing a more seless experience.
Cons
Unfortunately, recent programming updates have made the software more difficult to use. Increased downtime and technical issues have affected timely communication and productivity, resulting in the need for additional resources. While the Klara te provides timely responses, the results have been unsatisfactory. Requesting compensation for the inconvenience was met with refusal. I will continue to monitor the situation, but if the situation worsens, I may need to seek an alternative solution.
