What is MDoffice EMR Software?
Overview
Developed in 1984, MDoffice by Eye Care Leaders in an integrated electronic medical record (EMR) and practice management (PM) suite focused on the ophthalmology specialty. It is suitable for practices with less than 25 doctors. The software is designed to automate the clinical and operational tasks of eye care practices. This solution can be hosted in the cloud or deployed on-premise. Physicians can customize their charts and create problem-specific forms to record patient encounters. Users can access SOAP notes using the MDoffice designer. The Designer allows users to change the language and templates to input patient assessments/history. Records of prescribed medication, allergies, notes, images, and vitals can be organized easily. Providers can take notes or draw on standard drawings, or insert images into patient charts and their notes.
The platform allows users to attach other documents such as X-rays and lab results to a patient's file. Users can edit images within the document; resize, annotate, and crop. Both images and documents can be shared with other practices via email, fax, or printed hard copy. MDoffice EMR also includes reporting functions, which enable users to analyze and view various aspects of practice functioning. Scheduling, clinical, administrative and insurance productivity are some areas of data for analysis.
MDoffice’s practice management system allows practices to streamline their daily workflows and improve overall efficiency. It provides medical billing services to handle insurance requirements and complete the revenue cycle of payments, claims, collections, and receivables. Users can easily manage patient information, schedules, claims, referrals, etc. The software allows administrators to register patients using their current billing information and reserve or change spots for appointments via the scheduler. It reduces errors at the time of claims processing and billing. Users can also create payer and patient lists and set automatic reminders for other commitments. Their mobile app called 'MDM' allows ophthalmologists and optometrists to access charts and records using an iPhone or an iPad.
