Key Takeaways

Generated from the text of customer reviews

Multiplier is a global HR platform for managing international employees and contractors. HR, payroll, and finance teams use it to support distributed workforces. Its strongest fit is with businesses hiring across multiple countries. Users point to easier international hiring and onboarding. Some also want more self-service and product depth. In September 2026, Multiplier launched Global Exchange for Work, expanding its global workforce platform.

Our Verdict

Multiplier is a strong consideration for companies building international teams without establishing entities in every market. Its EOR and contractor model fits businesses expanding across borders, particularly where immigration or multi-country employment adds complexity. Its starting price is a relatively accessible entry point for businesses with international payroll needs. We recommend Multiplier for growing global teams that value centralized employment management.

Multiplier Features

Global Payroll

This feature helps pull payslip formats, tax filings, and social security calculations into a single system. These help generate local payslips and calculates each country's mandatory contributions automatically. It also administers ESOP grants for companies issuing equity to staff abroad. The result is a country-by-country payroll report that finance teams can pull directly.

Employer Of Record (EOR)

This Multiplier service handles employment for workers in countries where the business does not have a local entity. It covers locally compliant contracts, onboarding, payroll, taxes, and statutory requirements within the employment process.

Contractor Management

Multiplier handles the payment side of a contractor relationship. It takes care of invoices submitted through the platform, timesheets tied to hours worked, and payouts sent in bulk. Payments go out in more than 120 currencies, with contractors given the option to receive funds through a fiat-to-crypto gateway. Because approvals and invoices are available in one queue, a company running dozens of contractor payments each month reviews them together.

Insurance Plans

These plans cover side-by-side comparisons of providers and coverage levels, backed by factsheets covering what's typically included before a plan gets chosen. Both employees and contractors go through the same screen to enroll, so a mixed workforce doesn't require two separate benefits processes.

“Payroll errors caused costly disruptions”

Pros

They act as an international EOR and I found payroll and benefits management for remote employees across multiple countries much more centralized but that's all the good I can say..

Cons

They committed multiple employment law violations and I find the repeated payroll errors caused serious disruption and extra costs for our business.

“They charged before onboarding began”

Pros

I really can't say much because Thematic began charging us before the onboarding process even started, which left a poor first impression.

Cons

There have been no clear answers or resolutions so far. In short I did not like it at all!

“Better avoid it and look elsewhere”

Pros

I cant think of anything. There is nothing good about this product as it does not perform well in any area.

Cons

They consistently got the payments wrong, creating liabilities for the employees, and then refused to fix anything. We were passed from one employee to another, none of whom knew what they were doing yet they all promised to help. We spent over 100 hours trying to get things working correctly. When we tried to leave, they refused to return our deposit. In the end we had to involve lawyers to get the money they took back.
