What we liked most about JoinBrands was the creators themselves — talented, professional, and easy to work with. Unfortunately, the platform’s handling of payments undermined what could have been a great collaboration. JoinBrands charged $3,600 instead of $1,800 for three creators at $600 each, then failed to pay those creators.

Cons

Several online posts about JoinBrands read suspiciously like company-generated or incentivized testimonials. Even before our campaign began, multiple creators privately told us they were hesitant to work with JoinBrands because of past non-payment issues. We proceeded anyway, assuming the creators would be protected since we paid the platform directly. Instead, JoinBrands charged $3,600 instead of $1,800 for three creators at $600 each, and failed to pay those creators. When we raised the issue, the company retroactively reclassified our projects as “retainer subscriptions” — a term never disclosed prior to billing — and later offered a refund “as an apology.” We accepted the refund only on the written condition that the creators would be paid, and we retained full chat transcripts confirming this agreement. Creators were still not paid, including at least one who was pregnant. We are now filing formal reports and preparing to directly compensate the unpaid creators ourselves, while compiling all documentation for regulatory review. If you’re considering working with JoinBrands — as a brand or a creator — review all terms carefully and verify payment procedures directly before sending funds or completing work.

Cons

I never received the video I paid for, even 12 days after the deadline. I had to chase repeatedly for a refund, and they refused to cover the shipping costs I spent sending the product. They also cancelled my order without asking, reassigned it to another creator, and charged me again without my consent. Support is mostly automated AI reps, and the only real responses I’ve received were after leaving public reviews.

JB works exactly as we expected. Unlike many other similar platforms, it is reliable, robust and has a large pool of creators. Plus the customer service is top notch too.

Cons

Honestly I do not have many negative things to say. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who needs content for social media.
