Allscripts EMR Software

Allscripts EMR Software has been in business for the past 30 years. The software is common across four countries namely: the US, UK, Canada, and Australia. The company has over 7000+ employees satisfying and connecting 333,188 physicians and 2,340 hospitals. In addition, to its patient engagement portal, Allscripts FollowMyHealth, serves over 16 million users. The software is ONC-ATCB certified and compatible with Allscripts Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) solutions and services.

Over time, Allscripts Healthcare solutions have transitioned from a core electronic prescribing entity to a forward-looking Electronic Health Records (EHR), Financial Management, Precision Medicine, and Population Health Management (Allscripts CareInMotion) solutions provider. The platform's open-source nature makes it feasible for practices and large hospitals to integrate with other leading practice management systems.

The software offers two distinctive EHR platforms depending on the practice size and complexity of practice workflows. The best part is, that both platforms come with customizable templates for numerous medical specialties, intuitive daily planners, patient portals, voice recognition, E/M coding, charting, and mobile apps.  Over the last few years, Allscripts has acquired Practice Fusion and Mckesson Hospital Health IT system.

Pros:
We are so happy with the system. The implementation team at Allscripts helped us with the transition and we had some of the best staff from their company to train us on the product before we went live.  The product is simple and easier to use which makes the workflow pretty smooth. Impressive, very nice.
Cons:
We Hardly ever faced issues and it could be perhaps we are still exploring the system. Just some trouble with lag time and delayed responses but not too often to even notice. We can brush off these.

Complex but easy to customise.
