Pros

Chargify is an excellent solution for smaller businesses due to its ease of implementation and operation. Training new employees is a breeze, and we all love the user interface. They have laid it out so intuitively that we just know where to go next! Support is courteous and quick to respond. They take the initiative to assist and advise us as subscription charging evolves, and they frequently bring beneficial new capabilities whenever they increase prices. The API is also useful.

Cons

Some of Chargifys inherent components add complexities and complications. Ive had some difficulty managing clients using the billing module, having them manage their own information, statements, and so on through the portal. There are workarounds and fixes for almost everything. All the issues Ive come across have been fixed in due time. But putting my clients through difficulty, no matter how small, is not something I can tolerate for long. If they improve the billing and invoicing system, theyll have me as a long-term user.

Great Billing Module

Pros

The software offers enough flexibility to easily manage a number of subscription products. We can conveniently administrate multiple operations at once such as placing accounts on hold, changing billing details, etc.

Cons

We encountered a few issues when we first started using it. however, their customer support staff has been a huge help with any problems or requirements we had.

Some great features with room for improvement

Pros

The software is really easy to set up and learn to use. The UI is user-friendly. great API. The analytics tool has helped us gain amazing insights. Credit card billing in the monthly subscription is great.

Cons

The solution slacks in handling non-monthly subscriptions. Revenue recognition severely lacking for anything but monthly, credit card subscriptions Invoice handling severely lacking. Quickbook integration is very poor. Webhooks has a number of key data points missing like a customer ID on an invoice generated or invoice payment.

Love it

Pros

Chargify has done wonder for our overall productivity. It not only enables us to accomplish nearly everything we wanted to do with our monthly based pricing model but also saved us a lot of time and energy from being wasted on custom development, administrative tasks, and regular maintenance.

Cons

Few more features would be a nice addition such as product cloning or one-off bills to customers.

Chargify offers endless possibilities. I can set up several different billing strategies easily and efficiently. Their support staff is exceptional in their response time, competence and resourcefulness to help us obtain the maximum working efficiency with the software.

The product is expensive but its offerings are worth every penny.

Chargify is a robust product for companies running on SaaS model. Payment processors are really well integrated. Their support staff is really helpful.

Cannot clone products or upsell/downsell them. Theyve added a percentage fee on sales in addition to the monthly subscription cost.

I wish there was a feature to notify us whenever customers updated their payment status on the portal.

Usability is among the greatest things about this solution. Good data filtering. Management tools are robust.

Very steep and sudden price increases. Many tools are glitchy. Weak analytics tool poor user interface and customer support. They have no regard for their customers.

Can support just about any type of billing which is its strongest selling point. It is really easy to use making complex tasks and billings seem simple. Offers integration with Xero and other payment gateways sign up page capability. Great support staff.
