Solid ERP with room to grow

Pros

After our previous ERP rollout completely bombed, we needed something user-friendly and budget conscious for our small team that could actually grow with us. This platform has been exactly what we were looking for and I'm satisfied with our choice. It's really pushed us to rethink our workflows and get our processes more streamlined, which has been a nice bonus. The visibility across everything our team does is incredibly useful. I can track the entire flow - purchase orders, sales orders, payments and know exactly where items and orders stand without having to yell across the office for updates. Definitely get a solid VAR though, because you'll lean on them heavily! We got matched with one that's been perfect for our team.

Cons

Many features that should be standard require costly add-ons or customizations. Coming from Quickbooks, I expected basic functionality like document recognition to be included but it costs extra monthly when QB offers it free. We also ran into integration problems with our payment processor and had to switch to Acumatica Payments which saved money on fees but reduced functionality and forced an earlier upgrade than planned. Integration issues seem pretty common with ERPs though, and overall we've been satisfied with the platform.

Powerful Tool with good support

Pros

The functionality here blows Quickbooks out of the water. Having every AP/AR transaction consolidated in one spot is fantastic. We've also integrated with Acupay which makes collecting client payments way more efficient than before.

Cons

Implementation was absolutely brutal, I'd rate it a zero honestly. Getting any real support feels impossible too even though we shelled out serious money to our VAR partner. Never got what we actually needed. Would be nice if there was a support team that didn't cost $250 an hour. There's just too much to learn and not enough time to sit through tutorials.

Easy for novice users

Pros

I appreciate that it's cloud-based which makes accessing everything so convenient. Reconciling bank accounts is simple even when the bank feed isn't working.

Cons

The bank feed functionality is broken and doesnt work at all. When I'm setting up memorized transactions like payroll entries, I cant leave the GL amounts blank even though they change weekly and it would be helpful if the system remembered which side (debit or credit) was highlighted as the default. The training process was really frustrating since much of it felt redundant and we ended up having to train our trainer instead. Since we work with subaccounts, I'd love to see the ability to lock out certain subaccounts for specific general ledger accounts.
