Powerful reporting

Pros

We use the reporting and dashboards to dig into the data our team needs to make clear, efficient decisions. Having the option to quickly create and modify GIs helps us decide more rapidly.

Cons

I think certain features in Acumatica's construction edition fall short compared with other sectors overall. It still seems like the construction product trails the e-commerce and distribution editions by a few years in functionality.

Great for mid-sized businesses

Pros

I've found it to be a solid ERP for mid-sized companies and I like that it offers plenty of customization so it can be adjusted to our specific needs. Another plus I appreciate is the option to host it on-premises when we prefer that setup.

Cons

That said because it's so customizable I've seen teams go overboard so having an excellent ERP developer and a capable ERP admin to collaborate with end users really helps. When those roles exist, I make sure we keep thorough process documentation and maintain close liaison with our VAR.

Unparalleled reporting capabilities

Pros

Over a five-month period my colleague and I, only two people from our company prepared the system for launch. In general, this platform delivers reporting capabilities I couldn't have imagined compared to our previous CRM/ERP. For our small business, this represents a meaningful advancement as we grow and our requirements outstrip what our basic, entry-level solution could handle.

Cons

I would like certain fields and areas to be easier to modify through the interface instead of having to dive into back-end reports and write code to fix them. This is especially obvious when I'm setting up quote columns or options or marking particular fields as required for users to complete.
