One of the most accurate estimating software, but it would be fantastic if they added support for multiple measurement units.

Pros:
RSmeans has provided us with various estimating levels, including a square foot estimate at the early phase of the project during the feasibility study, an assembly estimate during the schematic stage, and a unit price for a detailed assessment. What I admire the most is the robust integration with MS Excel, which helps export reports and makes editing much more accessible!
Cons:
It works solely in imperial units, which I think is downright stupid. Every user must have the option to operate in either imperial units or metric units because there is no feature in the software that converts between them.

Great resource to have

Pros:
Our team has found it very easy to use especially after switching from e-books. It is easier to find information and overall a great experience.
Cons:
There are so many customizable packages but not a single one which contain exactly the features you need. Either you end up with extra features or some missing ones.

Good investment for estimators

Pros:
RS means has streamlined my estimation process and made me confident in my quotes.
Cons:
Some everyday items are hard to find or do not exist at all. They need to update their catalogue.

Good to use overall

Pros:
My main usage is maintenance services and I use it to estimate material costs and manhour needs. It also shows preventive maintenance needs of items.
Cons:
Units are imperial with this software. A simple toggle could be included that helps you covert from imperial to metric whenever you need.

Great tool for estimating

Pros:
Very dependable when pricing out projects. It is mostly dead on.
Cons:
We do a lot of drywall finishing but there is not much support when it comes to that.
