Our Thoughts
Vectorworks Architect is an all-in-one BIM program that you can use for both 2D and 3D drafting. It uses many new technologies to make these functions much more powerful than they were even a decade ago. However, Vectorworks Architect's best feature is its ease of use.
Vectorworks Architect Features
Easy 2D
Due to the big push for 3D in many industries, 2D is often forgotten in modern BIM construction management software. But 2D modeling has a lot going on as a first step in the design process. Many people still use floor plans and blueprints for a reason, and building 3D from 2D layouts almost always improves results. The 2D modeling in Vectorworks Architect is top-notch and fully realized. It was also made with a later 3D conversion phase, but that isn't necessary. Powerful 3D
In the last few years, the AEC industry has been using 3D more and more. Using 3D can be challenging. With a few exceptions, all peripherals, displays, and interfaces are two-dimensional, and you must translate all actions into and out of 3D space. Vectorworks Architect's way of making 3D easy isn't new; other top 3D modeling programs do the same thing. If you've used other accessible 3D programs, you'll feel right at home with this one, which is a good thing.

“Intuitive, easy to use, powerful”
Pros
This software provides a complete solution for developing architectural designs from initial sketches, offering effortless 3D control of volumetry and shapes. It integrates 2D drawings perfectly and generates construction documents, along with the ability to create comprehensive reports for a smooth construction process. It's truly an excellent BIM option.
Cons
Generating optimal quality renders on the MAC OS platform is nearly impossible. It needs to be integrated with other software solutions, and even on my MacBook Pro, it's a disaster. I know it's not solely a software issue, but it's really frustrating.

“The hub of my architectural workflow”
Pros
I really appreciate the flexibility and customization that Vectorworks offers. I can use it as a straightforward drafting tool for simpler projects or as a robust BIM application for more complex ones. With Vectorworks, I don't feel constrained by the software's requirements.
Cons
There's a pretty steep learning curve to maximize the software's potential, and sometimes I have to do some head-scratching to figure things out. However, I think that's unavoidable for software with this level of flexibility.
