What Is Crelate?

Crelate is a recruiting platform built for executive search firms, in-house talent teams, staffing companies, and consulting firms. It combines candidate sourcing, recruiting CRM, applicant tracking, automation, and reporting. The platform also includes AI tools for discovery, screening, and interview preparation. Crelate supports onboarding, client and candidate portals, and integrations with back-office, HCM, and payroll providers. It helps recruiting teams manage candidate relationships, hiring pipelines, outreach, and post-hire activities in one system.

What Is Crelate Best For?

The platform stands out for its customizable ‘Applicant Tracking System’, built specifically for staffing and recruiting agencies. Recruiters can move applicant records through workflows using drag-and-drop controls, add notes, and tag candidates by skills, experience, or source. The activity stream also keeps interactions and follow-ups visible in one place. These tools give teams a clearer way to manage applicant lifecycles without forcing every hiring process into the same structure.

How Much Does Crelate Cost?

Crelate pricing starts at $85/user/month (billed annually) under Essentials plan. It includes ATS, recruiting CRM, job portal, and unlimited jobs and companies. Further pricing tiers are as follows:

  • Business: $149/user/month
  • Business Plus: Custom Pricing (per user, billed annually)
  • Platform Pricing: Custom Pricing (user or site licenses)

In addition to base subscription, organizations should account for following expenses:

  • Data Sync Integrations: $100–$500 per month (single integration, low volume); $500–$2,000+/month (multiple back-office/CRM integrations, higher volume)
  • Crelate Hire Onboarding And Compliance: $12–$24 per new hire per year (with a $250–$500 one-time setup fee), scaling down at higher hire volume
  • Messaging And E-Signature: $0.02–$0.05 per SMS segment sent, or $10–$30 per user per month if bundled, and $0.30–$1.00 per envelope per delivery, or $10–$40 per user per month if bundled
  • Contact Data Enrichment: $0.10–$1.00 per enriched contact, or $50–$300 per month for a bundled or tiered allotment
  • Advanced Professional Services: $100–$250 per hour, or $2,500–$15,000 per discrete project (e.g., custom integration build, custom reporting dashboard)

Most users consider Crelate reasonably priced for recruiting teams, with value and functionality often influencing the purchase decision. Some users find added users or customization more costly. However, they still tend to view the overall pricing as manageable for the capabilities provided.

Crelate Use Cases

Based on our analysis of user feedback and Crelate’s current capabilities, we have identified the following key scenarios where it is a good fit:

Recruiting Firms Running Customized Hiring Processes

Recruiting firms often manage different hiring processes depending on the client, position, or type of search. A fixed workflow can make it harder to organize these differences without creating additional manual work. Crelate addresses this by allowing teams to configure activities, fields, and recruiting stages to reflect how they manage searches. User feedback also highlights customization as a strong point, particularly for firms that want the system to adapt to established ways of working.

Full-Desk Recruiters Managing Clients And Candidates Together

Full-desk recruiters often need to manage client relationships and candidate placement activities at the same time. Keeping company, contact, position, and candidate information across separate systems can make it harder to connect these activities. Crelate keeps these records linked within the same environment, allowing recruiters to manage client interactions, candidate activity, and placement work together. Feedback also points to the value of having client and candidate information available within the same operating environment.

Staffing Agencies Managing Recruiting And Onboarding

Staffing agencies often need to continue managing candidate information after a candidate has been selected for a position. Moving this information between separate recruiting and onboarding systems can create additional administrative work. Crelate extends the recruiting workflow into onboarding, allowing agencies to continue managing candidate records and related activities as they move toward employment. Reviews highlight how the onboarding capabilities complement the ATS, making the platform relevant for agencies managing both recruitment and new-hire preparation.

Is Crelate Right For You?

Crelate may suit recruiting organizations that need flexibility across different hiring models rather than a fixed process. Its positioning covers executive search, in-house talent, staffing, and consulting teams, with workflows that can be adapted to how each team recruits.

The platform is also moving toward the growing use of AI agents in recruiting. Its recent updates include conversational candidate search, proactive candidate recommendations, database enrichment, and an Agents Dashboard that brings AI-powered recruiting tasks into one place. This can be useful for teams looking to reduce manual sourcing and database management while keeping recruiters involved in the hiring process.

Moreover, it is trusted by companies like Optimus, Xtra Effort Solutions, and Moss Search. For organizations with security and compliance requirements, Crelate is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified. It is also GDPR and CCPA compliant.

Great help and fit for us

Pros

I was pleasantly surprised by how smoothly the customer service and implementation went, they put in a lot of customization to make sure the solution fit our needs.

Cons

At this point it's too early for me to judge since we haven't fully migrated to Crelate, but so far I like the product and I'm looking forward to getting deeper into the new system.

good for tracking candidates and progress

Pros

I love that I can organize recruitment data by each candidate's progress, which makes tracking far easier. I'm also able to tailor it to my needsfiltering for particular companies and specific job postings. In my experience it's definitely worth the price. I like that it supports logos or markers for milestones and lets me add comments and notes during interviews. It also enforces single-user login sessions.

Cons

Personally I've noticed the interface is dated and could use a more modern refresh. Also, I would like to see integrations with other enrichment tools added to improve connectivity.
