“Efficient payroll but occasional data lag”
Pros
I really like factoHR's US Multi-State Payroll Automation with real-time compliance updates because it honestly takes away the fear of costly U.S. compliance penalties which is a huge relief for my business. The initial setup process was much more interactive and well-structured than I expected and it felt clearly tailored to American multi-state workforce needs. Even without having any dedicated IT team or payroll specialists, we managed to complete the full platform configuration, migrate employee data, set up core integrations and onboard our team in just 12 hours spread across 3 business days. For a mid-sized U.S. business like ours, that kind of speed and efficiency feels like a big win.
Cons
I have noticed that biometric clock-in data from our corporate office scanners and GPS punch-in data from our retail and field staff mobile devices sometimes take around 2 to 4 hours to sync with the dashboard instead of appearing in real time. Because of this delay, my HR team and location managers are not always able to verify live working hours for employees who are close to U.S. state-specific overtime thresholds, such as California's 8-hour daily overtime rule. This situation often leads to last-minute manual checks to make sure we do not underpay or overpay employees. We also had to introduce a manual reconciliation step for daily attendance logs to catch these sync delays which is now adding more than 3 hours of extra work every week for our HR team.

“Smooth setup with offline challenges”
Pros
Up till now I appreciate the native, real-time U.S. federal and state labor law compliance in it because it is the most important feature for our U.S. HR team and truly stands out compared to other HRMS platforms we have tried before. it does not treat U.S. compliance like an add-on instead it builds federal and state-specific labor laws directly into every main workflow and keeps everything updated in real time whenever laws change. The initial setup for our U.S. only HR operations was very smooth and easy, already optimized for federal and state compliance from the start. We were able to get our main HR workflows live within 3 to 4 business days. Since the setup is clearly designed for HR professionals, our U.S. HR manager, who is not from a technical background, handled the entire implementation with very little support. The pre-built U.S.-focused templates saved us from building processes from scratch which had been a challenge with other HRMS systems.
Cons
Well I do not like the lack of offline functionality in the system. In areas with low or no connectivity in the U.S. such as rural job sites and remote work locations, the app cannot store clock-in or clock-out data or even save draft leave requests for offline submission. Because of this field staff sometimes miss logging their working hours and later have to submit retroactive time cards which creates additional compliance and record-keeping concerns under FLSA requirements.

“Works well with other tools”
Pros
It integrates smoothly with major tools as well as third-party systems which helps us create a very aligned workflow. The interface is interactive and easy to use, even for employees who have not received any extra training. I also appreciate the mobile application support because it allows employees to manage their tasks through self-service while they are on the go which makes daily HR tasks much more convenient.
Cons
I occasionally come across a few minor bugs in the system and while they are not major they can feel quite annoying during daily usage.
