What Is Metaview?

Metaview is an AI recruiting platform that helps recruiters and hiring teams in different stages of the hiring process. Its AI agents can source candidates, review applications, conduct screening calls, and document interviews. The platform also supports candidate outreach, job post creation, and reporting. Its application review agent evaluates incoming applications against the hiring criteria and ranks candidates for recruiters to review.

The software reduces administrative workload and helps improve hiring decisions across teams and roles by providing detailed trend reports.

What Is Metaview Best For?

A notable feature of the software is its ‘AI-Generated Notes for Interviews.’ It helps recruiters and hiring teams document conversations without taking notes manually. The platform joins interview calls, transcribes them, and turns the conversations into structured notes based on the team's chosen template. This helps recruiters stay focused on the conversation during an interview without worrying about missing important points. It gives them organized records they can review and share with hiring managers afterward.

Who Is Metaview For?

Metaview is designed for teams and professionals involved in hiring and recruiting. It is typically used by:

  • Recruiters
  • Hiring managers
  • Executive search partners
  • Recruiting agencies
  • Fast-growing startups
  • Large enterprises
  • Fortune 500 companies

Metaview Use Cases

Based on our analysis of user feedback and Metaview's capabilities, we have identified key scenarios where this software is a good fit for recruiters, hiring managers, and executive search partners:

Global Teams Interviewing Candidates In Languages Other Than English

Global hiring teams use Metaview to keep interview records consistent even when calls happen in different languages. Instead of struggling to translate or type notes during a non-English conversation, recruiters can rely on the automated transcript and summary that's generated after the call. Accuracy can vary a bit depending on the language, but the summaries still hold up well enough to hand off to hiring managers.

Recruiters Managing Candidate Calls Across Multiple Tools

Recruiters who record candidate calls across Zoom and phone conversations use Metaview to capture and organize calls. The software integrates with the calendar to confirm recording before calls start, while later recordings can be added directly to the platform. Custom views let teams collect and track recurring details from their calls in one organized place.

High-Growth Technology Companies Managing Massive Inbound Application Volumes

Fast-growing companies use Metaview's Application Review agent to sort through job applications. This tool automatically checks the applications against the company's hiring standards. It reviews the applications in real time and picks the right candidates based on recruiters' feedback, filtering out applications that aren't a good fit early on. This enables recruiters to focus on the best candidates, get them to interviews quicker, and ensure proper candidate evaluation without having to spend more time reviewing applications

Sales Teams Standardizing Evaluation Criteria For Subjective Skills

Sales teams onboarding new or less experienced hiring managers use Metaview’s structured templates to evaluate every candidate against the same standard. Subjective areas such as sales aptitude or mock demo performance are difficult to score consistently when interviewers have varying levels of experience. By building agreed-upon rubrics directly into these templates, sales teams can increase the percentage of onsite interviews that result in job offers.

Is Metaview Right For You?

If your recruiting team struggles with inconsistent evaluations and slow hiring decisions,  Metaview is a good option. It can help your team make the hiring process more organized and structured, without adding a lot of extra work for the people in charge of recruiting and hiring. The platform follows key standards, like SOC 2 Type II and GDPR/CCPA, which benefit growing companies hiring new people across different teams and locations.

Companies like Brex, Deel, Automattic, and Replit rely on Metaview as part of their hiring process. For teams managing multiple disconnected software tools, the platform provides a centralized hub to bring all recruitment data together.

Metaview Features

Sourcing

The software's sourcing feature selects candidates based on a job description, a recorded job discussion, or a simple plain-language request. It compares each candidate's profile against the requirements given and assigns them a score. The software creates a ranked list of top candidates for recruiters to review before they start reaching out.

See How It Works
Screening

This feature replaces standard live phone screen interviews with concise, AI-conducted candidate interviews. The platform presents custom recruiter questions and evaluates responses against role guidelines. It then leaves the hiring decision to the team reviewing each recording.

Reports

The software lets recruiters sort through recorded hiring calls by the department, the stage of the process, the manager, or where the candidate is from. It also helps teams look through transcripts to find specific things that were talked about. It even alerts via notifications whenever certain important words or topics are mentioned.

Job Posts

The job posts feature helps create job descriptions from different sources, like a role intake call, a template, or an uploaded document. The software reviews live and existing job postings to find outdated information or inconsistencies. This keeps listings up to date and aligned with the job requirements.

Accurate note-taking and templates

Pros

The note-taking is impressively accurate and the templates help me convert transcripts into usable candidate profiles. Plus I can add this tool directly to calendar events on the site.

Cons

Editing and formatting are still a bit basic for my needs.

Transcription saves time and boosts quality

Pros

Using this app has cut down on the time I spend taking notes during interviews so recruiters and hiring managers on my team can stay focused on the candidate conversation. I really like that it transcribes automatically and produces organized summaries which makes sharing feedback easier, helps limit bias and speeds up our hiring decisions. Because it ties into our ATS and lets me review interview takeaways asynchronously I find it indispensable for keeping our hiring process more consistent and higher quality.

Cons

Even though I think the platform is very capable one downside I've noticed is that it doesn't offer much flexibility when it comes to customizing interview summary templates or the way feedback is formatted. Often the summaries come across as somewhat generic so I end up manually editing them to match our internal evaluation rubrics. I've also seen it miss certain context or subtle technical nuances during nonstandard or highly technical interviews, things a human note-taker would probably pick up more reliably.

easy recording and calendar integration

Pros

it is really easy to use during a call or a Zoom meeting and if I need to add recordings later I just drag and drop an MP3 onto the homepage. It links with my calendar too and it even prompts me before placing a call so I can confirm whether I want to capture the conversation. I also make use of custom 'views' I set up to collect recurring pieces of information that keep coming up in my chats.

Cons

Often the AI doesn't transcribe everything onto the initial summary document and I notice some details are missing at first however I can usually extract more information by giving it follow-up prompts.
