This feature allows organizations to manage and enhance their tech skills on a unified platform. It empowers teams to master multi-cloud aspects, provides insights into team skills, aids in strategic growth planning, and addresses skill gaps with immersive training. The Skill Profiles Dashboard — available to enterprise administrators and team managers — displays week-over-week Skill Growth Rate, team proficiency bar graphs, and a ranked list of top-performing users. This offers leadership a real-time, quantified view of organizational competency.

The Content Engine feature allows customers to customize Cloud Academy's extensive library of courses, learning paths, exams, and other skill-based content. Organizations can build new content from scratch by combining Cloud Academy's library with their internal content. This provides flexibility to manage and deliver tailored training programs. Each Content Engine is separated from other QA accounts. Custom accounts are only available to that user’s organizations and cannot be accessed from other accounts.

Job Role Paths helps employees with focused learning in career progression planning. Create learning paths mapped to various job roles to foster career growth. This is important for retention, employee morale, and addressing skill gaps. Unlike standard paths, Smart Job Role Paths open with an adaptive Smart Assessment that automatically skips content the learner has already mastered.

Get insights into candidates' validated technical skills through assessments before hiring. This enables organizations to hire the candidates best suited for the roles and get them productive faster. Pre-Hire Assessments operate through a dedicated parallel account — completely separate from the main enterprise account — so candidate results never affect employee skill analytics or training data. When a candidate is hired, their pre-hire skill data and assessment results can be transferred from the pre-hire account into the organization's primary Cloud Academy account. This gives L&D teams a skills baseline for the new hire from day one.

The content library remains up-to-date through continuous development and refreshment of hands-on labs and certification paths. Companies trust Cloud Academy for training courses on key technologies like Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud, security, and more. This helps learners stay relevant with the latest cloud and technical skills. The library now spans content beyond cloud platforms, covering AI, Data, Cybersecurity, DevOps, and Software Development.

SimuLabs are Cloud Academy's newest lab format — immersive, scenario-based experiences that combine hands-on technical problem-solving with real-world communication practice. Learners take on an active role (such as an IT engineer handling live support tickets) and interact with an AI-powered character to gather context and reach a resolution, replicating actual on-the-job demands.

Ela is Cloud Academy's AI-powered learning assistant, available 24/7 across courses and labs. It provides real-time explanations of complex concepts, answers course-related questions, identifies bugs, and delivers interactive knowledge checks through conversational support. Originally launched for AWS content, Ela has since been extended to cover the full online course library.
