Argus is essential for underwriting and modeling real estate investments, with its results often exported to Excel for further analysis and manipulation. The software is robust and generally user-intuitive, although it takes significant time and extensive usage to truly become proficient. It can be frustrating when SaaS updates bring changes that impact functionality and features.
Cons
Switching to SaaS from "owned" software and the lack of support for legacy DCF have been some downsides. Also the software is quite expensive, which can be a challenge for small businesses or individuals.
