The claim to fame for Total MD is a completely integrated EHR and Practice Management software leading to a seamless flow of information between both systems. For example, clinical information such as procedure and diagnoses codes from patient charts are automatically posted to the ledger. Or at the time of scheduling, you can review basic patient clinical and insurance information within your scheduling module.
The software is available on the cloud as well as on-premise. While implementation is conducted online training can be onsite or online. Training is not included in the monthly licensing fee and is priced at approximately $ 3000 for online and $ 6000 for onsite one time cost.
TotalMD has a reasonable monthly per provider fee. They do however charge extra for electronic prescription and usage of a patient portal. You also need to pay an annual renewal fee for these services.
The vendor offers free data conversion from Medisoft and Lytec and conversion from any other system is available. At this point, TotalMD does not provide revenue cycle management services.
