What is Propel Software?
Overview
Propel Software revolutionizes product data management by integrating the traditionally siloed functionalities of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Product Information Management (PIM), and Quality Management Systems (QMS) into a unified platform. The platform bridges the gap between commercial and product teams, creating a cohesive product data thread that streamlines processes, enhances collaboration, and maximizes the value of your product portfolio.
Propel’s innovative approach has garnered significant recognition in the industry. Propel has been honored multiple times as a Deloitte Technology Fast 500 winner, acknowledged as a Forrester Wave Strong Performer, and named one of America’s Most Innovative Companies by Fortune. These accolades underscore the software’s commitment to excellence and its role as a leader in transforming how businesses manage their product data.
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM): Propel’s PLM capabilities empower organizations to launch products more swiftly, address customer issues with greater efficiency, and increase profit margins. The PLM solution offers robust features such as Bill of Materials (BOM) management, which simplifies the tracking of components and assemblies throughout the product lifecycle. CAD integration enhances design and engineering collaboration by seamlessly linking design data with other product information. Additionally, Propel Software’s supplier management tools facilitate better communication and coordination with suppliers, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of materials.
Quality Management System (QMS): The platform’s QMS capabilities are designed to help companies maintain high product quality and compliance. With Propel, you can efficiently track and resolve product issues, manage non-conformances, and implement corrective actions. The system provides tools for handling customer complaints promptly, enabling you to address and rectify problems before they impact your brand. This proactive approach to quality management helps reduce defects, improve customer satisfaction, and drive continuous improvement. You can also ensure 100% compliance through the platform.
Product Information Management (PIM): Propel’s PIM solution centralizes product data, providing a single source of truth for all product information. This centralized approach streamlines the management of product assortments, ensuring consistency across various channels and platforms.
The system enhances product information by aggregating data from multiple sources, enriching it with relevant details, and ensuring that it remains accurate and up-to-date. This comprehensive management of product content enables better decision-making, enhances marketing efforts, and improves the overall customer experience.
Propel’s customers gain long-term benefits like:

“Propel is Great!”
Pros
Propel is an excellent product. I really like how simple it is to use, the BOM layout, the ECO process and its flexibility. The Customer Success team is AMAZING! They consistently go the extra mile to assist us whenever we need it.
Cons
BOM export process could use some improvement and having Revisions on BOMs is essential yet Propel does not offer that feature.

“Great eQMS solution for a medical device company!”
Pros
Propel lets us digitize our Change Control and training processes which used to be the most tedious aspects of our Quality Management System when we relied on paper. The functions and features were generally simple.
Cons
Generating reports and obtaining basic metrics was more difficult than I had expected.
