Taiga is a cloud-based and open-source project management system that allows users to track project progress and supports Agile teams using both Scrum and Kanban frameworks.
Taiga software has a comprehensive feature set (including a backlog, sprint planning, burndown chart, Kanban board, epics, issue tracking, and a wiki) as well as numerous customization options. At the same time, it is simple to get started thanks to its user-friendly interface. As a result, Taiga is especially beneficial for cross-functional or client teams.
Taiga Software Features
Kanban Integration
The Kanban module is available in all Taiga projects. It also happens automatically if users select the Kanban template when creating a project. When users do this, the Kanban icon appears in the project's toolbar, and they can access the Kanban board. The Kanban columns or statuses are generally appropriate for the software development process by default, but feel free to change them. Furthermore, it allows for user workflow customization, including EPICS and sub-tasks; multiple workflows with swim lanes; extensive filter options & search function; WIP limits; view options such as zoom level; and user story archive function; and the ability to switch from Scrum to Kanban.
Module for Taiga scrum
The Scrum module is available for use in all Taiga projects. It provides users with a complete set of boards for planning and displaying individual sprints from the backlog, as well as backlog and sprint planning, including EPICS and sub-tasks. It also allows users to estimate (per role) and includes a project timeline, an estimation tool (Taiga Seed), a sprint task board with swim lanes for each user story, and a zoom function. At the project and sprint levels, Taiga scrum module burn-down charts are available, with the option to switch to Kanban and vice versa.
Integrated and comprehensive issue/bug tracking
Taiga allows users to customize issue types, priorities, and severities, as well as promote problems to user stories and use extensive filtering and search functions.
Reporting Options
Taiga users can get extra team performance dashboards (including team health Iocane function), full audibility with the project timeline, personal dashboard & notifications, Wiki function, and custom real-time reports in users' own data editor with CSV URL link.
Customization
Taiga provides users with an overview of progress on activities and completed deliverables by defining team roles and permissions. It is available in over 20 languages, and users can customize stages, colors, and close definitions, as well as Custom tags and fields.
