Key Takeaways

Generated from the text of customer reviews

Roofr is a roofing business management software for contractors, estimators, office staff, and field crews. It's used mainly in residential and commercial roofing. Reviews often praise its ease of use and workflow organization, while some users note that property images aren't always high definition. Recently, Roofr refreshed its mobile experience into a browser-based, app-like format that doesn't require an App Store download.

Our Verdict

The software is a practical option for small to growing roofing companies needing a centralized workflow from estimating through payment. Pricing stays reasonable for teams using several functions. Smaller or occasional users, though, may find lower cost plans a better fit. Between the two, it's recommended for roofing businesses looking for broad operational coverage without paying per seat.

What Is Roofr?

Roofr is roofing business software built for contractors and teams managing residential or commercial roofing jobs. It features a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system that organizes leads, job stages, tasks, and customer activity in one workspace, so that information doesn't end up scattered across separate spreadsheets or notes.

Digital measurement reports can cut down on manual roof calculations, providing dimensions, diagrams, and material lists. That same data feeds directly into the proposal tools, which turn measurements and pricing into customer-ready documents without requiring job information to be rebuilt from scratch. Invoicing and online payments round out the process on the back end, giving teams a way to track outstanding balances alongside job details rather than managing billing separately. Since the platform works from mobile devices, field teams can review jobs, follow up with leads, and send proposals without needing to be back at the office first. Altogether, it brings the estimating, sales, and billing side of a roofing business into one connected process.

What Is Roofr Best For?

The platform is best known for its ‘Roofr Reports,’ which combine roof measurements, aerial imagery, material lists, waste-factor calculations, and diagrams into one document. Materials get calculated using pitch, roofing squares, and the selected waste factor, cutting out manual math when preparing an order. Reports can be requested straight from the field, and paid subscribers can get them back within two hours or less, which speeds up the move from measurement to proposal and material order.

How Much Does Roofr Cost?

Roofr price starts at $109/month for Six Hour sub-plan under the Measure+ plan. Other paid plans are:

  • Measure+ (Two Hour): $169/month
  • Essentials: $249/month
  • Scale: $349/month

A free Starter plan is also offered (add-on prices apply). All plans support unlimited users. Roofr Reports cost $13/report for all paid plans and $19/report for the free plan. Paid add-ons are also available, including Instant Estimator at $149/month.

Users generally find Roofr’s pricing reasonable for the features offered, especially for roofing businesses that regularly use its measurement and estimating tools. However, some reviewers feel the overall cost can become higher as usage increases.

Roofr Integrations

The platform integrates with select third-party tools, including

However, it does not support embedding its tools into external CRMs or systems, as its tools are mostly designed to work within the Roofr ecosystem.

Who Is Roofr For?

Roofr is well-suited for a range of roofing businesses, such as:

  • Roofing contractors
  • Residential roofing companies
  • Commercial roofing businesses
  • Roofing sales teams
  • Roofing inspection and measurement companies
  • Roofing and exterior construction businesses

Roofr Use Cases

Based on our analysis of user reviews and Roofr's current capabilities, we have identified key scenarios where this software is a good fit for roofing businesses:

Roofing Companies Generating Leads Directly From Ads Or Their Website

Businesses relying on contact forms to capture leads often lose prospects who want a quote before handing over their information. Roofr's 'Instant Estimator' replaces the standard form with a live quote based on the lead's address and the company's own pricing, so job details land in the Job Board without a manual follow-up call first. This fits roofing companies running ads, door-knocking campaigns, or website traffic, where turning a browsing visitor into a qualified lead matters more than just collecting contact details.

Businesses Needing Faster Measurement Turnaround Before A Proposal

Contractors who spend time manually measuring a roof before quoting a job lose hours that could go toward closing more deals. 'Roofr Reports' deliver detailed measurements, including pitch, facets, and material lists, within as little as two hours of ordering, and can be requested from a job site, a parking lot, or anywhere else with a phone signal. This works for businesses trying to shorten the gap between an initial site visit and a finished proposal.

Companies Wanting Custom Pipeline Stages That Match Their Existing Sales Process

Roofing businesses with a sales process that doesn't fit a generic CRM pipeline often end up forcing their workflow into stages that don't quite match how jobs actually move. Roofr's job board lets companies customize pipeline stages in a kanban view, adding or removing columns to match an existing process rather than adapting to a fixed set of defaults. This fits businesses with an established sales workflow who want the software to reflect it; they don’t have to rebuild their process around the tool.

Businesses Struggling To Collect Payments On Time

Roofing companies still relying on paper checks or mailed invoices often deal with payments getting lost, delayed, or simply forgotten by the customer. Roofr sends digital invoices straight to a customer's email or phone, with automated reminders that follow up on unpaid balances without someone in the office having to call. This suits businesses where chasing down payment has become a recurring drain on office staff's time.

Is Roofr Right For You?

Managing leads, estimates, proposals, materials, payments, and scheduling across disconnected tools can create delays and unnecessary admin for roofing businesses. Roofr brings these workflows into one platform, with tools like ‘Instant Estimator,’ customizable ‘Proposals,’ ‘Material Orders,’ ‘Payments,’ and ‘Calendar’ all working from the same system.

Its newer ‘Roofr Sites’ offering also uses AI to build and update roofing websites, which makes it worth a look for businesses trying to strengthen their online presence at the same time. Though, it available only in Beta version currently. The solution complies with GDPR and states that appropriate security measures are in place, though it doesn't go into specifics on what those measures actually are.

Overall, Roofr suits roofing contractors looking for connected job workflows rather than piecing several separate tools together.

Roofr Features

Instant Estimator

Roofr features an ‘Instant Estimator’ that lets homeowners get a roof estimate based on a company's own pricing, just by answering a few questions. Businesses can customize offerings, pricing, timelines, and financing, then share the estimator across marketing channels. Captured details create ‘Job Cards’ automatically, helping teams qualify leads, prioritize follow-ups, and schedule appointments faster. Roofing companies end up responding quicker, which improves their odds of actually closing the lead.

Proposals

Creating a customized quote runs through measurement data, material and labor calculations, profit margins, and waste percentages with Roofr’s ‘Proposals’ feature. Branding, annotated images, multiple pricing options, and reusable templates all fit into the same document. Teams can send signature-ready PDFs from mobile and capture e-signatures online, while real-time ABC Supply pricing keeps material quotes accurate. This cuts down on quoting effort while helping teams close deals faster.

See How It Works
Material Orders

The software’s ‘Material Orders’ takes a signed proposal and turns it into an order-ready material list, with quantities already calculated. Teams can review stock, edit items, set delivery dates, and submit orders directly from the field. Also, supplier integrations with ABC Supply, QXO, and SRS simplify the ordering process, while order history and payment records keep everyone informed. Manual work and supplier communication errors drop as a result, which helps crews avoid material-related delays.

See How It Works
Roofr Payments

Accepting credit card and ACH/EFT payments happens directly through the platform with ‘Roofr Payments.’ Teams can create invoices, send payment requests, collect deposits or partial payments, and track outstanding balances from the same place. A payments dashboard further shows transaction statuses and funding details, and automatic reconciliation matches deposits to transactions without manual checking. Roofing businesses end up with faster access to payments and clearer visibility into cash flow.

See How It Works
Scheduling Management

The ‘Calendar’ capability helps roofing teams schedule site visits, estimates, installations, and follow-ups, while keeping crew assignments and job updates in one place. Job cards connect directly to calendar events, and reminders keep both teams and homeowners informed. Google Calendar integration also syncs events and updates across platforms. This gives roofing businesses a shared schedule that cuts down on missed appointments and keeps crews coordinated.

See How It Works
E-Signatures

The platform supports uploading PDFs, adding signature fields, and sending documents for signing within the job workflow itself. Contracts, inspection reports, and certificates stay linked to their respective jobs, and real-time tracking shows when a document's been sent, opened, and signed. This reduces manual follow-ups and keeps paperwork organized, without needing a separate signature subscription on the side.

First class service!

Pros

First and foremost I appreciate their customer service. The price is excellent and the platform for keeping track of jobs is really nice. I'm looking forward to learning how to do their DIY measurements.

Cons

I've found that the percentage of available roofs is quite low, about 50% based on my experience so far.

Unbeatable measurement tool!

Pros

There are many aspects I love about Roofr compared to other similar products. I love their webpage and interface. The product is the simplest to use of all the tools. Their ordering and storage systems are very straightforward. The reports are the easiest to read of all the reports. Lastly their price point is unbeatable. I don't understand how other companies still use other products that are often double triple or quadruple the price. Roofr is by far the superior product.

Cons

It seems that roughly once a month, they're unable to measure the pitch of a roof. While this can be inconvenient, their benefits definitely outweigh this problem.

Totally Disappointed

Pros

I dislike this software because roofers who use these apps gave me the wrong measurement and price.

Cons

I don't like this software because the roofers using this app gave me incorrect measurements and prices. This makes me distrust even honest roofers who use your application.
