Cons

Pros
Adobe Captivate is a powerful tool for creating interactive content for online or hybrid classes. I have used the screen recording feature to put together step-by-step tutorials that show our school community how to use different technologies and it has worked really well for that. The question templates are excellent too and make course creation even more effective.
Cons
The biggest downside is the price which feels a bit high. It's also hard to get in touch with customer support when help is needed. On top of that the interface can feel overwhelming for new users who are just getting started.

Once you get past the early learning hurdle, it works well for putting together very simple e-learning content. It's also a great option when you need to revise and rework existing material.
Cons
That said the onboarding is really tough. Even with prior experience in video editing and other software tools, the learning curve feels extremely steep.
