Falcon Use Cases

Based on our analysis of Falcon's capabilities, we have identified key scenarios where this platform is a strong fit for PMO teams, consultants, and corporate strategy functions:

Corporate PMOs Running Multi-Project Transformation Programs

Large organizations managing dozens of concurrent strategic initiatives often find that spreadsheet-based tracking creates version control issues and reporting delays. Falcon is used in these settings to centralize all project data in a single hub, with automatic aggregation replacing manual consolidation. PMO teams use the traffic light system and portfolio view to identify at-risk projects quickly and generate stakeholder reports in minutes rather than days. Automotive and manufacturing PMOs on Capterra cite significant reductions in reporting effort after moving to Falcon.

Management Consultants Managing Client Transformation Projects

Consulting firms running restructuring, turnaround, or strategy projects for clients adopt Falcon to maintain a structured view of measures, effects, and milestones throughout the engagement. The platform's tree structure maps directly to how consultants organize action plans, while the built-in financial effect tracking keeps projected savings and KPIs visible at every portfolio level. Multiple consultancy reviewers note that Falcon's fast setup and intuitive interface reduce client onboarding friction at the start of each engagement.

Holding Companies Tracking Initiatives Across Subsidiaries

Organizations with multiple operating companies or business units use Falcon to maintain portfolio-level oversight without consolidating separate Excel files from each entity. The tagging and permissions model allows holding-level teams to see aggregated data while keeping subsidiary-level access appropriately restricted. Users from holding company environments specifically highlight the ability to track strategic projects across multiple company levels from a single interface as a key reason for adoption.

Is Falcon Right For You?

Looking for a PPM platform that replaces Excel sprawl with a live, consolidated view of your entire project portfolio? Falcon is built for PMOs and strategy teams managing complex transformation programs, delivering real-time aggregation and one-click PowerPoint reporting that cuts manual effort from the reporting cycle.

The platform complies with GDPR and is hosted on encrypted servers, with ISO/IEC 27001 certification covering software development and operations. Trusted by clients including Royal de Boer, Fränkische Rohrwerke, and Marquardt, Falcon has a track record across large enterprise and mid-market portfolios.

Falcon Features

Roadmap And Milestone Tracking

Falcon tracks key milestones and project timelines across the entire portfolio in one view. Teams can set schedules at any level of the project tree, and the platform reflects changes in real time. This keeps strategic timelines visible to all stakeholders and helps teams catch schedule risks before they escalate.

KPI And Benefits Tracking

The platform maps financial effects, budgets, and custom KPIs to individual projects and aggregates them up to program and portfolio level automatically. Teams can plan targets top-down and input actuals bottom-up. This gives controlling and finance teams a clear picture of projected versus realized benefits without manual data consolidation.

See How It Works
Risk And Status Management

This feature centralizes risk records, including probability and potential damage amount, and provides a traffic light system at every level of the project tree. Teams log progress and decision needs in regular status updates, and the red flag feature escalates critical risks with a single click. This keeps issues from going unnoticed across large portfolios.

Executive Reporting

Falcon generates filterable PowerPoint reports in a company's own corporate identity at the push of a button. Reports can be scheduled for automatic distribution and filtered by tag, stage gate, or responsibility area. This reduces the time PMOs spend preparing stakeholder presentations and ensures consistent formatting across reporting cycles.

Amazing for managing complex transformation programs

Pros

It is a powerful platform for managing complex transformation programs. What impressed me most is how quickly and methodically it lets you build meaningful reporting. The impact of individual measures can be aggregated across different project levels and forecasts are displayed in a transparent way. At a glance, it becomes clear which projects and actions are on track and where a closer look is needed which makes prioritization and decision-making much easier. Another major advantage is the customer support: fast, proactive and genuinely helpful. Suggestions for improvement are taken seriously, processed quickly and implemented whenever possible. The ongoing development of the tool clearly shows that user feedback is actively incorporated into the product's evolution.

Cons

The analysis options are somewhat limited although this can be addressed quite well by adding an extra BI tool.

Missing reporting basics

Pros

Using it is simple which is genuinely a big plus. The customer support is excellent during onboarding and stays very helpful in day-to-day use as well. I also appreciate that reports can basically be exported as PowerPoint and Excel files.

Cons

It's core web product does not seem to have been developed far enough and too much has been pushed to customers through the Power BI integration. The dashboard is not useful, especially for PMO work and the options for analyzing the action program are lacking, such as hardship-level development, effect-driver overviews and similar evaluations. The visual presentation of effects in the action profiles adds very little insight and also looks outdated. Gantt views for actions and activities are completely missing, even though they would be extremely valuable not only for checking whether inputs are plausible but also for management reporting. Overall, it feels more like an Excel template in a browser. That may be acceptable for consulting-focused clients if junior staff are manually building PowerPoint reports and Falcon mainly serves as an input form. But as a corporate user, we miss these basic functions because Falcon is supposed to automate exactly this kind of foundational management reporting for us. Compared with McKinsey Wave and other tools, it is clearly behind.

Clear workflows and fast support

Pros

Right from the start, the interface feels very clear and simple so teams can get comfortable with it almost immediately. It brings together action and project management with financial and benefit tracking in a really strong way. The rollout was quick, data uploads were clean and reliable and the Power BI integration is solid. On top of that, the support team is excellent, fast to respond and consistently solution-oriented.

Cons

It comes with a very broad feature set and unfortunately we can't make full use of everything it offers. If there were a way to hide specific functions we don't use, the software would feel even more organized for our needs.
