The only positive aspect I can mention is that Kayla (who was the sole representative in their Customer Support or perhaps that was just the name they used because they were hesitant to provide their real names) was always kind.

Cons

There are too many issues to list, but let's give it a try: the payroll processing and employee data retrieval/entry are painfully slow; customer support wait times are insane (45 minutes was the norm, but sometimes we had to hold for 23 hours, and I wish I was exaggerating); the system is glitchy and far from intuitive. The final straw for us was when I received emails from our 250 employees on a Friday, stating that they didn't get paid because Zenefits had hired a new payroll processor who missed a step that triggered all the Direct Deposits. I spent an entire day on the phone trying to resolve it with various people.

Best Features For the HR Team

Firstly, I appreciate the numerous HR and onboarding features. It functions effectively as a performance management system and proves helpful as a benefits administration solution. With features like attendance tracking, we haven't encountered any problems.

Great for small HR department

Zenefits has streamlined and simplified our HR processes! As the sole HR person, Zenefits enables me to support all our employees as if they had an entire HR department at their disposal. The online portal streamlines my HR management and provides employees with 24hour access to HR information. Zenefits provides EVERYTHING we need in one intuitive online portal... it handles the entire employee lifecycle from offer letters and hiring to onboarding, payroll, benefits administration, and termination.

Cons

There is little to no phone support available for user issues. We mainly rely on online live chat and email for customer support, which can be frustrating when we're in a timesensitive situation.

Customers who have questions for their broker must use the built in "help" function instead of contacting an individual directly. The current state of available learning management technologies and clear guidelines leaves much to be desired.

Zenefits allows our company to effortlessly track and manage employee time off, sick hours, and vacation time. Adding or subtracting benefit time is simple, and employees find the software easy to navigate regardless of age or ability.

Cons

It would be helpful to receive notifications when employee time is maxed out or annual reminders to add new time off allowances.
